More of a marathon runner than a sprinter. With almost 200,000 miles, the truck is still running strong. The main drive system is in good shape with few issues over the years other than wear and tear on some of the most used parts. Maintenance costs are low and the truck is cheap to fix when it needs work. The truck has plenty of power to haul and get around town. It is a great entry-level truck for light-duty work and will last for many years to come.

I love my Toyota Tacoma truck. It's dependable. It has never broken down on me or had a blowout on the road. I like the roomy interior that the 4 doors afford me, as well as the practicality of having a truck bed (short) to haul and move stuff around. I have horses so it's important to have a truck to load and move food and shavings. The only complaints I have really are the interior. After about the third year of owning the truck, after all the warranties expired, things on the main console began to break or quit working. The digital navigational direction display and the temperature don't work and haven't for quite some time. I decided it was too expensive to replace as the whole console above the rearview mirror would have to be replaced. The lights have also gone out in one section of the console where the air/temp adjustment dials are. Same story about the price of replacing. The glove box latch broke off in the center divider. Same story again. Too expensive to replace the whole center console.
