From the day I bought my 2013 Passat SEL TDI new in June 2013 until September 2015 I thought it was a great car. It outperformed the MPG estimates and was a comfortable car that was large enough for my family. Then the news of the VW diesel scandal hit the papers. From that point on, I started counting down the days until I no longer owned it. The whole car seemed to lose its luster and I started noticing faults. The overhead sunglasses storage no longer opened softly as it did when new, now it slams open and throws my sunglasses on the seat.

What I like about the Volkswagen is the great amount of comfort and control in the steering of the car. Furthermore, what I really enjoyed about the car was its large size and the comfort provided by the seats. The Passat had an effective air conditioner and heater in the car that heated and cooled the car in a timely manner. In addition, I enjoyed the music set-up in the car that enabled a lot of customizability for the user of the built-in car speakers. The Bluetooth functionality of the car was fluid for both calls and streaming of music. I would also like to add that, in my opinion, the car is also quite visually appealing. The fuel efficiency of the car was better on local roads then on highways. The automatic seat adjustment buttons available in the front seats were an easily accessible and useful addition to the seat, in addition to the seat warmers.
