I like the car overall. It is a very safe vehicle for a family. The on screen phone is a fantastic option. It is so much safer then trying to dig my phone out of the purse. Yesterday, I hit a deer and totaled the front end, and the car stopped great and the air bags didn't deploy. I felt so safe in it with my daughter.

The Escape has served us well generally, but there are several serious annoyances. It gets decent gas mileage, drives nicely, and has been relatively sturdy. However, there are flaws that render it less-than-ideal. Problems include sunroof drains that routinely clog and lead to leaking onto the ceiling, rusting around wheel wells and on rear liftgate, and leaking from the rear glass into the car.
