The Ford Escape is great - on the small side for SUV, so it drives much like a car.
Story
Had a great time taking this car to the casino with my sisters! We had a ball and got there with no incidents.
Pros
The AWD is amazing in snow. I never have to worry about getting through! I love the way the seats go down, and you can load a bunch into the car. I have hauled lots of items in there! It drives very well. This car is dependable, and I have had it for four years with just one battery change needed. Very low maintenance costs is always a plus. Nothing has gone wrong with the car yet. It holds five people, so you can get a good group together. Heated seats are awesome on cold weather days or if your back is bothering you.
Cons
Mechanics don't like the case over the engine and battery. It is a pain to remove if they need to work on it. Oil changes cost $5 more because it also has some kind of tray thing on the bottom that has to be removed to change the oil. It gets okay gas mileage - about 24 miles per gallon - which is not great but not terrible, either. Highway driving much higher - around 32.

2009 Ford Escape - I really enjoy this car. It rides and handles very nicely.

I own a red Ford 2009 Escape. I like the size and the way the car handles. Also, the red color is very nice.
Pros
I like the leather interior. I like the heated seats. It also has heated side mirrors, which is very nice in winter. It is an all-wheel drive vehicle and handles nicely in the snow and rain. The front of the vehicle is pretty and of decent size for the passengers in the front.
Cons
It tends to rust out above the back wheels. This happens on both sides. The hatch door also has an issue due to the water that runs down in between the exterior and interior of the hatch and causes run on the back hatch. If you have children and need to use a car seat, it is very limited on space and ease of getting out. But I'm sure this is an issue with all vehicles of this size. IF you are a taller person, you will have a hard time sitting in the back seat.
