I like that my Escape is a 4x4 since I live in a rural area where it snows a lot. I like that the A/C works well and it has a 6 disc changer. The exterior needs some loving aesthetically in both the interior and exterior. Also needs a little mechanical help.

I purchased my car for $4,000 with the assurance it was in good running condition. It met my needs in that it had A/C, 4WD, and four doors. Unfortunately, it costs me another $4,000 to get a new engine put in less than two months after buying it. The dealer had lied about its engine, which was actually badly malfunctioning. I even tried suing the dealer but lost in court. The car itself runs good now. The clear coat is peeling from the paint, and the interior has some issues with vinyl coming unglued. But it performs like a dream and seems to be reliable with the new engine. I'd buy the model again but only from a reputable dealer and with written assurances as to its quality.
