2016 Ford F-150 - Reliability
My F-150 is amazing! The leather interior is fantastic! I use this truck for a work truck that is shared by multiple people in my business. There are no scratches on the leather interior from my guys getting in and out of the vehicle. There is absolutely no damage done to the dash or anything! This vehicle is used ten hours every day with constant abuse from construction and waste -- with minimal damage, wear and tear. I absolutely love the body on these new trucks. The bed is even better as it's practically scratch resistant! I would buy this truck over and over and over again! The MPG isn't too bad, but it definitely adds up. Towing is simple with this vehicle also!
Story
I remember removing all of the tree debris from the bed of the truck thinking, "oh man, it's going to be scratched." When we pushed it out, there wasn't a scratch seen! I had to call all the guys over and tell them to check it out.
Pros
Sleek. Built Ford tough. Scratch resistant bed. Runs smoothly. Reliable. Towing capability.
Cons
MPG -- it definitely shows after a while of driving. I was unable to get a liner inside the bed of the truck. I had to install myself.
2002 Ford F-150 - Great truck. Lets me get the job done and good on gas.
It is very reliable. I love the gas mileage it gets with the v6 and five speed. Wish the rear end was positive traction. It would help with pulling. It rides real smooth with a quiet cab, the inside of the cab has plenty of room for three people to sit comfortably.
Story
I was riding in the woods and came up to a mud hole. I was going through it no big deal; then next thing I know, I fell off in a hole and had to punch it. The truck slid sideways slinging mud as I came out the other side. I was pretty amazed.
Pros
V6 with a five speed. Full bench seat. Good gas mileage. Quiet on the inside. Has cold air condition. The heater and defrost work good. Has a great sounding radio system in it. Clutch is easy to push in. Plenty of room inside the cab. Manual windows. Good towing capacity. Oil filter is in a easy place to get to.
Cons
Rear end isn’t positive traction so pulling stuff can be a pain at times. Not heavy enough in the rear, so in rainy weather I spin out during take off. Headlights need to be brighter. The seat doesn’t adjust back. Needs better shocks to help the ride height when towing a trailer.
