Ford Truck Girl
I love my truck! It's definitely one of the better Ford trucks built in the 2000s. I use it for driving to work, hauling hay, trailering my horse, and hauling a 20 ft sport boat. The gas mileage is much better than I would expect it to be (19 mph HWY) and it's run smoothly so far. I used to live in the Rockies and driving around did not break the bank. It also handled all sorts of weather well.

Ford F150 STX - just keeps on going and going
The 2006 Ford F150 STX six cylinder auto two-wheel drive truck is an excellent workhorse that just keeps running and running no matter what. As long as you follow the factory suggested maintenance, this truck should be able to go at least 250k miles. I have a basic model. Roll-up windows, manual door locks and manual side mirrors. But, who really cares? Those minor inconveniences are nothing compared to the quality of the truck. My truck is bone stock with the only upgrade beyond the standard STX trim being the bed cover. The wheels are slightly upgraded beyond the dog dish hub caps. It is sparkling silver in color. So far, no big repair costs. It easily holds two adults and one child. Limited slip differential means better traction on hills. The automatic transmission shifts smoothly. The six-cylinder automatic accelerates adequately. Even the tires aren't that expensive.
