The car is a great size and gets 40 mpg on the highway and sometimes more depending on the speed. I love that I can easily put all of my gear into the hatchback with lots of space to spare and plenty of visibility. It handles easily on the road, and the seats are comfortable and easy to adjust. The backseat is spacious, and there's no trouble fitting two and even three adult in the back. The car is stylish and, so far, very reliable, as I have put 25,000 miles on it in the past year and had no problems. The car does not come with a gear rack, but it is easy to install one, and I have transported kayaks and canoes on my car without a problem. It's a great car for traveling and adventures, and I highly recommend it.

A good car!

I love my Ford Focus hatchback! It has nice pep for such a small car and if I put the pedal down it accelerates pretty fast. I don’t have children that drive but if I did I would buy this car for them due to the intelligent key. The is programmable so that it interfaces with the sync system and will auto call 911 for emergencies, will notify parents if the car exceeds a certain speed limit and will also put a governor on top speed. The absolute best thing about it is the gas mileage. With E-85 I average around 29 miles a gallon and with normal gas I’m in the 35 mile per gallon range. On a recent road trip I averaged 45 Miles a gallon! This is by no means a big car, I don’t see how 5 full grown men can fit in it but it fits me, my wife and two kids in boosters/car seats fine. It can be a little loud on the highway but overall it is easy to here the radio and phone conversations. One thing to look out for is the clutch though. My clutch went out at 17,000 miles and had been causing me problems for at least 4,000 miles before. It was a known problem and my car was under warranty so it was fixed in a day.
