Budget Vehicle
The Focus is a good gas mileage car for work or long travel. The seats are adjustable in numerous ways and provide lumbar support which is nice on longer drives. Each focus I have owned has had a large trunk space for being a coupe. All around a balanced vehicle for everyday driving. One thing I do not enjoy about the 2007 model is the size/shape of the center console. The center console is VERY small and is more a nuisance than a convenience. Also the center console is mounted on a very weak hinge that allows you to put it upright. The hinge broke within one month of owning the vehicle(I always rest my arm on the center console while driving). The car did not come standard with cruise control but I do mostly city driving so that was not a huge issue. I bought the car just before we had our first child and I found out that it was equipped with U-Links that you can strap a car seat down with instead of just the seat belt. The car seat was much more secure with the links than with just a seat belt.

The Focus has been a long-time friend, reliable and affordable.
Little work needed to maintain through the years. I'm an avid off-road explorer, and even though it's a small vehicle, she's been on several two tracks and handled herself just fine while we explore new places. I've loved owning the Focus. Her acceleration is excellent. Her engine and mechanics hold up well. The interior is comfortable and surprisingly spacious for a small four-door vehicle. I have three kids and they all fit in the backseat. We also use it for grocery shopping and for family camping trips and the trunk space is absolutely immense. The only recurring issue is that we replace tires fairly often but that may be because we live in Michigan, pot hole capital of the world. It takes regular maintenance like a champ and has only ever needed major maintenance following a deer accident. The Focus has been with me since late 2011, bought when it was just barely used. It's been through numerous relationships, moves and lifestyle changes. It's taken me up north, to the beach and to soccer games. Its reliability is astounding.
