2008 Ford Focus - My Ford Focus
Ford made an incredible car in 2008, the Focus. I have owned it for the last ten years and am still very pleased with my purchase. It is an affordable sedan that has been low maintenance, requiring only minor repairs and replacements.
Story
My favorite memory is when my husband and I took the car to the mountains. I thought it would struggle through the hills and steep climbs through the mountains, but it did surprisingly well, and we had a great trip.
Pros
This car has been the most reliable vehicle I have ever owned. With over 130,000 miles on it, it has never broken down and only required routine maintenance throughout it's life. I also appreciate the roomy trunk space, sun roof, and Sync phone feature.
Cons
The biggest negative feature about this car is that there is not a substantial amount of room in the back. Anyone who is taller than 5'8" would be very uncomfortable sitting in the backseat, and it does not seat five adults comfortably.
2013 Ford Focus - Extremely disappointed.
I liked that this car has Bluetooth and I can connect my phone to the audio system. I also liked the outside look and style this car represents. The interior's quality is plastic and very cheap in touch and appearance. The exterior has minimal plastic which I enjoy very much. I dislike the power this car has for get up and go. The transmission is terrible and has to be serviced for the life of the car. Ford refuses to find a permanent fix. The audio system has terrible speakers and the software (Microsoft Sync) is just as bad.
Story
I really don't have any fun memories of this vehicle. I've went on family vacations in this vehicle but all the fun was happening outside of the car. Only memorable story I could tell would be when it left me stranded after work (because of the transmission) and all the visits to the dealership (because of the transmission).
