It was still in great condition when I got it. I suspect that it was a rental before it ended up at the dealership. This car is wonderful if you've never owned one before. I suspect it would frustrated seasoned automobile users. One things I disliked about the vehicle surprisingly was its light body. Even with the extra tread turned on it felt like the outside elements affected he direction of my car very much, forces like wind and rain. There were other features that made the car worth while like its size and the ability newer car have to switch effortlessly between fuel grades. Like most fords you can drive for quite a while before needing an oil change. That 4CL engine was a fine touch as well. Sometimes on the highway it felt like I was flying. This car rides very smooth. The car h... (more)
Story
I got stuck in some sand while down at the beach. Within seconds people in traffic on the road beside where I'd parked got out and helped push me back to the road. If I had to count I would say about 15 people all from separate cars hopped out to give me a push. I was very fortunate. The car's extra L gear made it easier to push the car from the sand with help.
Pros
There was plenty of trunk space along with a spare tire and replacement kit. I enjoyed the ability to enlarge my trunk if need me. I actually owned the car a full six months before I realized it had that feature. Its nice because its very inconspicuous. The interior is easy to clean and media features satisfactory with the potential for upgrades. There exists a warranty program in place to care far a faulty PCM as a mentioned for one of the cons below. That ended up being very helpful. In short if your insurance refuses to make the repair as long as there is not external damage Ford will h... (more)
Cons
The placement of the auxiliary port was a little weird. This particular model of the focus had that port located inside the glove box. The mileage wavered over time but that very well could just be a result of my upkeep. I also learned the hard way that most ford cars generally have issues with their PCMS eventually. When the vehicle is used its usually not a matter of if but when.

Part of me absolutely loves this car. It's small but roomy, gets great gas mileage, has a room interior, has the ability to become a "sports car" if you put the transmission in sport mode, and has a surprisingly large trunk/hatchback. I love that the back seat is big enough to easily fit all three of my nieces and nephews. I don't like how the Bluetooth system is sometimes glitchy. I like that I can put the car in drive and drive in eco-friendly style, or I can put it in sport mode for a more fun experience. You can also adjust the gears if yourself if you like. Unfortunately, Ford created what could have been an amazing transmission in this car. It's an "automated manual" clutch system. However, the clutch that was originally put in the car did not last very long and becomes very jerk... (more)
Story
I have a seven-year-old niece, and she loves the screen for the radio in the car. It's small and tells her which song is on the radio. We play this game where she covers her eyes and tries to guess which Disney song is coming on while I give her hints. Then she can uncover her eyes and read the screen to see the name. This actually has helped her learn new words.
Pros
You can change the interior light color to up to six different colors. You can also brighten or dim the interior lights. The premium wheels and leather seats look very nice in the car and give it an upscale feel. The hatchback is actually quite large, and I have never had any issues fitting anything normal -- and sometimes abnormal -- inside the car. Other than leg room, the back seat fits three people quite easily. The headrests on the front seats is at a perfect height, comfortable, and adjustable. I LOVE being able to adjust the back support on the front seat. The powered front seat is ... (more)
Cons
There is very little leg room in the back if the person in the front has the seat pushed back more than halfway. There is almost no space for children in the backseat as their legs are short and their feet hit firmly against the back of your seat -- therefore marking up the back of your seat. I have leather seats, and I love them, however, the leather has begun to crack on the driver's seat even though I condition the leather regularly. The front of the car is very low so be very careful when pulling in to a parking space because you can and will scuff up the bottom of your front bumper. T... (more)

The dealership worked with me even though I had bad credit. They came to my job to get me my second set of keys made to my car. The salesmen were friendly and patient and they answered all of the questions that I had about the different cars and they let me test drive all of the cars that I wanted to test drive. I had a good experience with them.
