Reliable car.
The Ford Focus RT is a great, reliable car. In the two years I've owned it I have had no issues with it. It performs well in both city and highway driving. The gas mileage is excellent, I've saved a fortune on gas since my purchase. I have no issues with any rattling like some other cars, it's a very smooth ride. The breaks are also very smooth. It is a very nice looking car too, I get complimented on it all of the time. The seats are very comfortable, I don't need to stop as often on longer trips. It handles well in the rain and snow. The steering is spot on, It handles beautifully. I haven't had to have any major repairs done, it's held up exceptionally well. I would recommend this car to anyone looking for a good looking, reliable car at a fair price.

All show no go!
The looks of the Ford Focus Sedan SE are cute and sporty and are its biggest draw outside of the price. Ford does a good job of leaving its stodgy former reputation behind with the Focus. Sadly, beyond the looks and price, I would not recommend what has turned out to be an investment in persistent annoyance. Lets start with the mechanics: the transmission system of the Ford Focus from 2010 to 2016 have proved to be an expensive nightmare for Ford and clutches for the Focus are handed out like balloons. The "drives like a sports car" excuse only works the first time you bring the car in for a hitching, bumpy, delay-riddled shifting experience. The windows are small and contribute to a larger-than normal blind spot in this vehicle that makes it scary to drive. The narrow turning radius is another thing I never thought I would complain about as it is something you should never worry about in a small car. While there are no complaints about the quality of the interior, the one-button lock/unlock feature, weirdly located on the center of the dash, was a bizarre design choice. The seats adjust in a strange way, requiring both a seat back adjustment and a seat height adjustment for comfort. My chiropractor, a former Ford employee, had to show me how to adjust my seats when I came in with a Focus-related back problem! I wish I was kidding. The great price and cute looks drew us in (we own two of them in our family) but we are living to regret it!
