2007 Ford Focus - Ford Focus - Good value
I live in the snow belt of Northeast Ohio, and the Ford Focus does a great job of driving through the snow. Never had an incident with it in 12 years of brutal hard winters.
Story
We love to take this vehicle out on our shopping trips. It has enough room to carry what we buy.
Pros
I love the fact that the Ford Focus is great on gas mileage. It also has held up very good through the years. I am over 250,000 original miles on it and still going strong. I never had an engine or transmission trouble with it.
Cons
I had rust spots show up around the back rear wheel well that showed up within a few years, and they got worse over time but never impacted how the vehicle rode. Every few years I've had to replace the front caliper break pads. Had some minor door issues in the winter months where the lock would stick.
2014 Ford Focus - Reliable and sturdy
This is a sturdy and solid vehicle. I like that it is a Ford, and parts are readily available. Repairs are more-or-less easy and affordable.
Story
I use this car to get to work and to go shopping, and since I like eating food and being able to pay my bills, it is really useful! I had to walk a few times before, and I do not recommend that to anyone.
Pros
My Ford Focus can get up to forty miles per gallon of fuel on the highway and usually averages around thirty in the city. My last car was lucky to get twenty-three on the highway!
Cons
The four-cylinder engine of a Ford Focus is slow to accelerate. I am usually out-sped by other cars, and I have a hard time putting up hills.
