The Ford Ranger-Edge is a great little truck. I have driven mine 135,000 miles over 11 years with no major breakdowns. The only repairs I have had to perform is two changes of the battery and one change of the front breaks. All the internal components are fully operational and the interior is still in good condition. I like the comfort of the vehicle. It is quiet, which allows for listening to the radio at a reasonable volume instead of having to blast it. Another great feature of the vehicle is that it has a good sized bed which will carry most loads comfortably. As a musician, I can easily load up my string bass and all the associated equipment in the bed and still close the tail gate. The truck gets decent gas mileage and has easily made several cross country trips with no problems.... (more)
Story
I was able to move a five foot long model of a sailing ship from one building to another about a quarter mile away. The model traveled safely because the truck rides so smoothly.
Pros
It is a comfortable vehicle to drive and ride in. It has enough room to allow someone to lean back the seat and sleep if they are on a long road trip. It is a small truck which allows you to navigate narrow roads, and it has a good turn radius.
Cons
The negative part of this vehicle is that it might be too small for some loads. Being someone with a truck, you will get called on to help people move all the time. Be ready for it.

It is a small truck so it had decent MPG and could carry just about anything you want to haul. It has been pretty reliable with only the regularly expected repairs.
Story
I love hauling my friend's and my kayak around to the local lakes. its the perfect truck for a kayaker.
Pros
It is a V6 so it had good power for its size. It is smaller than a full size truck so it is easier to maneuver, but still had the bed capacity to haul whatever you need. It was reliable, but when it did need repair the parts and labor weren't over priced because there are so many Ford Rangers out there.
Cons
The only real negative with this truck is that it can be a little squirrely on wet or icy roads because it is rear wheel drive and typically there wasn't much weight in the bed, so traction can be a problem.
