More trouble than its worth
The Ford Ranger is very over rated. I thought a truck is a truck, that it is capable of hauling large loads or even heavy loads (there is a difference). But with the Ranger, the basic truck looks like it should be built with thicker steel, bigger parts and thicker paint. I really believe that everything about this American made truck is the bare minimum. The way the truck handles when you have weight in the back, is actually scary, the front tires swerve left and right, if you go over 40 miles per hour. When I helped a friend move, there was no heavy weight in the back, but because of the size of the mattress and box springs, driving down the interstate, the truck would handle terrible, the same left and right free steering. I drove through some trees and over a old rocky road to get to a cabin, just one trip there, then home - had over stretched the steering tie rod, I had to take it in to be fixed, which I was mad at the dealership, I made a appointment, when I arrived, they said it would be two more days, then when I came back, they were still backed up, which they give me a loaner, because of their backlog.
