Ford Ranger Owner Ratings & Reviews

1999 Ford Ranger - A fantastic little truck
I love that this thing is quality built. I've only had a few issues over the years that come from general maintenance like you would with any vehicle. Replace a fuse, a brake light, fuel pump, or alternator that wears out over time. It gets great gas mileage and has held up reasonably well in country driving.
Story
My buddy used to ride in the bed and play guitar, and we'd drive around parking lots and malls and serenade customers.
Pros
I love the gas mileage on this thing. I also love that it has basically zero blind spots. Never been a fan of bigger vehicles where I can't see around me, especially for motorcycles where we live. It's got a decent bed on it for hauling things as well. Overall, it's just felt like a useful vehicles that isn't too flashy but gets the job done that I need with low effort.
Cons
I'd say the lack of horsepower for one. Having only four cylinders hurts in the winter time or keeping up on busy highways when I need some extra push. I would love to have four-wheel drive, being in the country, wanting to drive through tough terrain and having a truck that can't is a little daunting.
2005 Ford Ranger - I loved it
This truck was small enough, but I loved the height. I don't like how low cars sit, and this was perfect. It handled like a dream, and I loved how quick the air or heat kicked on.
Story
My husband is 6'4", and I used to laugh every time he'd drive my truck. It was a little too small for him, compared to his full-sized truck.
Pros
The simplicity. Nowadays, there is so much going on with vehicles. The seats were super comfortable. The air was cold, and the heat was hot. When you turned them on, it was less than a minute before it got as hot or cool as you needed.
Cons
This one didn't have power windows. You had to manually roll them down. It's not terrible, but I definitely enjoy not having hand cranks.
