This is my first Ford truck and even though it's old it really is a great ride. I love being able to really take it around, it was someone's old mud truck so it sits really high on big tires and has a sweet LED light bar that makes the night disappear. Not a beast on power but it's very fuel savvy.
Story
I've collected a lot of awesome scraps in this truck. It's great to be able to snag the free stuff you see all day in towns.
Pros
I got it for a real deal from a local guy (Just $1000) and it was fantastic for the price. I was expecting over 200,000 miles but it only had 140,000 and that could be so much worse. It's a nice blue and the XLT I have has a huge bed in the back which is really why I bought it. I needed something with a lot of back cargo room and storage and it sits up high which I love.
Cons
The overall body of the truck has been through some tough stuff. There were an array of dings and scraps and scratches but it still holds up cosmetically. There is some undercarriage rust but it wasn't the worst that I've seen. The sheer amount of mud that came off it forever was daunting. The spare tire is in some rough shape and the bed is pretty torn up from service. The biggest negative was the rebuilt transmission, it really tops out early and there is a lot of engine strain at high speeds.

Perfect for hauling small loads - dirt, mulch, furniture. The design is sleek and attractive. I have had the truck since 2009 and have had no major issues with engine repair, only standard maintenance repairs (tires, brakes, etc.)
Story
I haul a truckload of wood down to our annual camping outing every year. I park my truck near the fire pit and everyone takes turns grabbing wood out of the truck to stoke the fire. We also all pile up in the back to ride across the street to enjoy a canoeing trip the next day.
Pros
Design - look of the truck Space - in the cab and in the truck bed Comfort - overall material and seating is comfortable Reliable - no major engine issues
Cons
Radio - I wish there was a feature to change radio on the steering wheel Glove Compartment - too small Heat & A/C - takes a little too long to warm up / cool down
