It's highly dependable and I am well pleased.
I have had my Taurus for 3 years now and I am very satisfied. The car has all the features like cruise, power windows, power seats, heated mirrors, and rear defrost as well as air conditioning. All of these features still work with an impressive 167,000 miles on it. There are no visual impairments or "blind spots." I really enjoy being able to fold down the seats so that the wood I buy for my woodworking projects will fit in the car.

Never again, Ford!
Overall, this car has been a huge disappointment. I purchased this car from my grandmother after my car at the time was totaled in a wreck. I was really happy, because it had low mileage (my grandmother was in her 80's so she didn't drive that often), and I purchased it for a very low price. I had driven a Ford Taurus in the past, so I was familiar with the car and figured it would be a good option in the interim. Boy was I wrong. I had the car less than a month before I started having major issues with the car. The first things I had to replace were typical. The tires were beginning to dry rot, and the brake pads were starting to make noise. No problem, I thought. Every can has to have maintenance done every once in awhile. I spent over 500 dollars replacing all 4 tires as well as the brake pads. All was well for a short time, until things in the interior started to fall apart. The leather trim inside began to fall off (I guess the glue was starting to wear off) so the interior of the car looked terrible. Then the drivers' side window started to leak. Then there was a leak under the dashboard. Since owning the car for about 4 years, I have replaced the transmission, the a/c pump, and 3 or 4 other parts, spending well over $5,000. This car is nothing but a money pit.

Always in the shop
I like the looks of the car. It is a sportier automatic sedan, with room for four or five pretty comfortably. The trunk is good sized. The pickup is a little slow, the car drives a little sluggishly. I always had to make sure I had enough time to make a turn or go because it took a little while to get where it was going. It isn't very responsive, I dislike that. The ride is smooth and fairly quiet. Friends have said it is a good looking car.
