This is a very reliable car if you're willing to put in the care to maintain it.
The 2003 Ford Taurus is surprisingly reliable. It has the typical issues that any 14 year old car is expected to have. I have had to buy a new battery and replace some hoses. I've had brake issues and wheel bearings replaced. However, putting the little fixes here and there has been worth it. This car has made it so I have never been stranded and as the mother of two young children, that is very important. The car is a mid-sized vehicle but I have two car seats in the back and it isn't too cramped.

Smooth ride.
My Taurus has been amazing, I have had it for almost three years now and I have not had to do any major maintenance. I purchased the car used so it had roughly 70,000 miles when I got it. It has always driven smooth and I have yet to do any major work on it (knock on wood). It's also a lot of room, my family camps a lot and its great that the car can fit everything we need in the trunk.
