2015 GMC Terrain - Stylist with kinks
This vehicle is very bold with a modern flair. It has the look that makes it stand out in the crowd. You will be noticed with the 2015 GMC Terrain. The vehicle comes in an array of colors to meet the individual needs. The Terrain runs smoothly and comes with lots of things that come standard with it such as the color of the seats. The main color is black and grey, which is great to keep dirt off. It rides smooth and has little to no blind spots. It has average gas mileage as well.
Story
We took the vehicle to a drive-thru zoo, and the kids had camels and ostriches running after them in the vehicle to get the bag of feed that they had. It was hilarious to see the animals get close to the car, and then I would take off.
Pros
The best thing about this vehicle is that it comes with a built-in navigation system. It also came with a roof rack and makes the vehicle more stylish. The Terrain has Sirius XM radio also free for the first few months so you get o try before you buy. The Terrain can come with heated seats.
Cons
A negative is that the navigation system must be upgraded annually to keep the map with the current times. There is a cost associated with the updates but should come free with the vehicle. After the initial trial period, one must pay for a service to the XM radio if you want to keep using it. Vehicle does not come with front tinted windows and chrome wheels are not standard with it either. There is also no vents for A/C or heat in the back of the vehicle. The car gets really hot in the summer because rear passengers cannot feel the air circulating. There should have been vents either on t... (more)
2012 GMC Terrain - Sorely disappointed
From the maker of some great automobiles comes this awesome concept with poor execution and disappointing features. Initial impressions were that this was a sleek little SUV packed with features including great gas mileage and the ability to run with the fad-pack of boxy SUVs. Sadly, this is far from the case. After 65,000 highway miles, MPG performance comes nowhere near the label description. The interior feels cheap and squeaky with too much plastic, the rear camera works... sometimes, there are no backup sensors, the power windows lack - well - power, and the engine is woefully under-powered (even after being rebuilt). For a similar chunk of change, I could have been driving a much nicer and much more reliable vehicle from a number of competitors.
Story
Shortly after the purchase, we enjoyed a couple of long family road trips.
Pros
The top positive aspects to this vehicle are some features, like heated, power seats, the center console LCD screen, backup camera, and adjustable rear bench seat. Also notable is the remote start and OnStar features.
Cons
Where to begin... first, a fuel line pressure sensor caused many headaches followed shortly by a necessary engine rebuild due to cylinder o-ring disintegration, bearing failures, and etching of the cylinder walls. The overall lack of power is frustrating and the transmission began slipping periodically shortly after the purchase. It has only gotten worse as time has gone on. Now, while braking, if the vehicle does not come to a complete stop before gently pressing the acceleration, the vehicle jolts as if it were hit from behind. There are no backup sensors, which can prove hazardous ... (more)
