I have owned Hondas in the past, my first car was an Accord (1992). So when I needed to purchase a reliable car, I went back to the Accord. How times have changed. The first thing I noticed is the build quality has gone down hill (cheap plastics, rattles in strange places etc.). I had to replace my "battery" at 15K miles (what they consider a battery) and have just replaced the rear brake pads and rotors at 29K miles. To me, it seems like Honda has started cheaping out. This will be my last Honda, until they start putting some quality back into their vehicles. It is plenty fast and handles well despite what some magazines say. Yes it is a little big but it drives small. The VCM and grade logic are good features but can get annoying if you don't know how to manipulate them. Ours is whit... (more)

I live in San Diego so the best thing about my car is the gas mileage! I drive up to 30 miles one way to work and 30 miles back home. The gas mileage is above average for a sedan like this Accord! It was one of the best in class.
Pros
Sunroof, stereo, seats are fine for me, engine, transmission, gauges, visibility, turning radius, speed (you will think you're doing 35 and you'll be actually doing 50), handling, safety features. V-Tech is a blast. Go over 4000 RPM and feel an amazing top end boost that just throws that 270 horsepower right at the wheels. Awesome. The look is fantastic. The power leather seats look and feel great. The stock stereo sounds very good, not great, but very good. Love the sunroof and fog lights as well. This car just flat out rocks. It's very roomy for a coupe. Appearance - exterior and interio... (more)
Cons
Go back to some of the features on the 2007 model, center front cup holders (adjustable), cup holder/pocket on the doors of the 2010 model are too big/wide (beverage slides), lighter gray reveals less dirt and lint, closed pocket on door handle, able to let rear seat down from inside the car, go back to the carbon fiber premium accent look, LED brake-light on the truck. Enable iPod skip from steering wheel and display track info on radio panel when using auxiliary jack. Rear/mirror defogger is deactivated when the ignition is turned off (doesn't work with remote engine starter). I felt the... (more)

Hello, I purchased this car in 2006 as my first new car purchase. I took several months researching, test driving, and comparing my perfect car. Based on all the benefits of the car and the purchase price I decided on the 2006 Honda Accord LX. This car is a V6 engine with over 220 Horsepower, everything power, moon roof, 6 disk cd changer in the dashboard, and leather interior. Everything I was looking for in my first car. One of the biggest sale points was the great value and stylish body and interior. The final cost was just over Twenty Five Thousand. Compared to other family size vehicles this choice was loaded. Overall this is a great car and would recommend it any time.
Story
One of my favorite memories in this car is driving down ocean highway late at night, moon roof open, listening to my favorite cd. It was a beautiful night and I felt like king of the road
Pros
The best features of this vehicle is the roomy leather interior. All black and very comfortable. The Air Conditioning and Heating unit is amazing, sets the temperature right away. The torque vs. gas efficient is excellent, getting close to 24 miles for city and 30 plus for highway. One of the secret gems of the vehicle is the arm rest. You can slide the driver arm rest back and forth for comfort if you like to keep a hand on the radio or gears. The styling and drive are outstanding.
Cons
Some items I did not take into account that I was not pleased with was the turning radius. This car will not make sharp turns or you turns. I also did not notice the noise when driving in the highway. It can become a bit annoying when taking long trips. Finally, the upkeep of the car can become a bit pricey as Honda used top quality parts.

Salesmen were friendly and not pushy. When I first arrived, I told them what I was looking for and asked if they could point me in the right direction. I had my kids with me and they did not mind at all when they started getting bored. Instead they brought snacks for them. Helped me get the right car for me.
