2004 Honda Accord - Low maintenance means high satisfaction.
Bought the car used with 50000 miles and haven't had a single issue for over 60000 driving miles across 7 years. Regular maintenance is simple and low cost as parts are easy to replace and easy to purchase. The car retains value well due to how well made and easily maintainable it is. Handles extremely well and reaches highway speeds in under 6 seconds.
Story
When I was younger I would drive between Tulsa, OK and St. Louis, MO the six hour, 350+ mile trip could be made on a single tank of gas which impressed me greatly.
Pros
Used, but low mileage. Dual climate control system to allow driver and passenger to pick their own preference. Simple, regular maintenance. Plenty of storage space in the trunk. Automatic transmission with a smooth transition during gear shifts. Great handling especially during poor weather conditions like rain and snow.
Cons
Car came with several cosmetic flaws. Scratches on the paint behind the driver and passenger door handles. Protective coating on the back bumper exterior paint chipped and bubbled up after a year. A fairly bland looking car if aesthetics are important to you. When slamming on the brakes to come to a quick stop, the lever behind the pedal will grind and shudder especially in slick conditions.
2015 Honda Accord - Luxury without the price
I've owned the car for about 6 months now. It is very comfortable, powerful, and the mileage is fine. I don't really have any complaints, but it isn't perfect.
Story
Shortly after we bought this we took it on a 750 mile round trip to see some friends that had moved away.
Pros
The general quality of the interior along with the quietness gives it a luxury car feel. The engine is a good blend of mileage and power. Rear seats are much better than Camry rear seats. The trunk is spacious for a normal car. The Touring trim comes with many tech gadgets standard, LED low beams, adaptive cruise control (which works well), touch screen navigation, and lane departure. The sun roof seals well and is standard on the touring also.
Cons
A top of the line car could use either a V8 option or a turbo V6. There is good power, but to compete with luxury brands more they need to step up the engine. Unlike many competitors, there is no free maintenance for any length of time. I do have one rattle that started a few weeks after I bought it. The final downside I can think of is that unlike many competitors, there is seldom 0% interest, it was 0.9% when I made the purchase so not much of a difference, but still.
