My Honda Accord has been with me since 1999 and it is the most trustworthy car imaginable. Over the years, I've had to replace parts, because it is an old car, but it continues to run. I refer to my car as 'the bionic car' because it is indestructible, or so it seems. It stays tough through storms, potholes and years of my bad driving. The car itself is comfortable and the trunk is spacious, so much so that I can keep a stroller, car seat base and a bunch of bowling balls in there and still have plenty of room for all of my items. I am a bit of a packrat! My car is extremely safe. I feel totally comfortable taking my 3 year old out in it. It also has great legroom, whether for my kiddo's stubby legs or my best friend who is 6'4". I will not get rid of this car until I absolutely have ... (more)
Story
This is the car I brought my son home in, so it will always have a special place in my heart!
Pros
I love that there is so much space in the trunk. The safety cannot be beat. The car handles well in the snow. It is a V6 so it feels fast, but not like a racecar. The parts last a long time and are not expensive to replace. My car has rammed into a pole before and still stayed strong, what a great exterior! I love that the gas mileage is not terrible. I feel like this is a very flexible car for my needs!
Cons
Nothing really, just that it is old!

My car has a few faults (it's 14 years old and I'm not the original owner, so it's to be expected), but they're relatively minor—interior wear, a rattling noise coming from somewhere on the passenger side when listening to the stereo turned up, the display on the radio doesn't work (but the radio itself does), and the paint's seen better days for sure. But it's gotten me from PA to Canada and back half a dozen times and to NJ and everywhere else I've needed to go. I've only had one issue with the performance/build of the car—I was on my way to a Dr. appointment, and the axle on the front passenger side broke.
Story
I use this car to bring my two large (80lb) dogs to the park every weekend. They absolutely love car rides, and they know where we're going as soon as we hit the highway. They sing me the song of their people in two-part harmony the entire way there. We always have a blast at the park and usually stop for ice cream on the way home.
Pros
This car is very reliable. I love that it has heated seats—that makes a huge difference in the winter!! It also handles very well.
Cons
The radio display not working is annoying. Also, the stereo has a six-CD changer that ate one of my CDs and won't give it back, so the CD player is useless other than serving as a mounting area for an iPhone bracket. I also wish the car had more chargers and that the chargers ran off the battery so I can do things like charge my phone for the flashlight when the power is out without having to have my car constantly running.

I had gone to other Honda dealers to see what they would offer. I found a great deal near where I worked. I did not want to have to service my car at that location as that job was not permanent. I went to Washington Auto Mall which is minutes from my house and asked if they could match the deal. They could and so I bought the car there.

My husband and I had been having overheating problems with our 2003 Civic. Another repair shop hadn't been able to solve the problem. Reluctantly, we tried Rahal Honda of State College, hoping the dealership might know the problems with the specific make better. But we didn't expect much, and we've never trusted dealerships. We've never had service done at one that wasn't for a recall and we've never bought a car from one.
