I purchased a used 1996 Honda Accord LX a few years ago, and the experience has been one of frustration along with admiration. The car had a series of issues with it, but that was more related to the person I bought it from rather than the vehicle itself. While I'm not terribly impressed with how low it is to the road, I am impressed with the overall durability of the vehicle. It's taken me across the country and back without any major issue. It's not a flashy car, but it's a reliable workhorse.
Story
Where I'm living now, my car is so low to the ground that if I try to drive down the driveway, half the time the potholes in the gravel road rock my car pretty bad.
Pros
The overall reliability is the top positive. When I bought it the odometer was broken, unbeknownst to me, so I have no clue how many miles over 138k it actually is. However, I've managed to take it across the country and back, and this is despite a mechanic early on warning me about rust under the car being an issue, and how he couldn't assure me it would even make it one way on my long distance trip, let along there and back again, and then even further the following year.
Cons
This is more of a personal con, as some people have no issues with this, but I don't like that it has automatic locks and power windows. The car's mechanisms are already breaking down on that front, and it reminds me again of why I prefer a good old fashioned crank handle for my window along with a regular lock.

I named this car Calamity Jane because of all the problems I had with her, from getting the title transferred properly to making her road worthy. She was poorly taken car by the first owners—she was covered with rust, odometer broken, electric windows broken, radio broken, and the back door didn't look except by hand. However, once the initial mechanical repairs were made (I never did get the windows or radio fixed), she lasted far longer than anyone expected. I was told she'd get me from California to Washington state (where I was moving)...and maybe a little further. I drove that car from the bottom of California to the top of Washington twice and from California to Connecticut, via the deep south, twice, and she even survived an entire New England winter. I had her four years total ... (more)
Story
A memorable story is the first time our very steep, dirt driveway iced over and I tried to drive up it. I got stuck on the ice and started sliding back. I pressed the gas as hard as I could and barely made it up the hill but did at least. I parked at the bottom and walked up the rest of the winter though.
Pros
The color, a dark green. It was a very discreet car. And she got us where we needed to go. Gas mileage was pretty good.
Cons
Rust caused some problems—a break line blew out on me and was expensive to replace. The odometer broke right before I bought it, so I was never sure of the mileage. No radio was a bummer, and we couldn't roll the front windows down—well, we could, but we couldn't roll them back up.

When I first wanted to get a car, I visited the website. It seemed really well done for a car dealership and it made me want to visit them in person. Yeah, the website was THAT persuasive. I went to Brandfon Honda and the dealers were very nice. There was no pressure whatsoever, and buying the car was quick and painless.

Friendly staff, very helpful. Showed prices of similar cars within 50 mile radius compared to the price they offered. Their price was not the lowest but the best value based on Mileage, age, condition and accident history. Financing was easy and they were helpful in completing everything quickly and efficiently.
