They had the vehicle I was looking for in their used lot. They allow you to test drive it on your own and I took my time. Once I was happy with it, I negotiated for it. It was pretty quick process overall.

The 1996 Honda Accord DX is a great economical car that holds up over time. I have passed 200,000 miles and it is still running great. It rarely breaks down even though it would be considered old to some people, and the engine and transmission have absolutely no issues. There have been several things I've had to repair over the years, but overall the car's major components have held up well with only normal maintenance required. Most all of the repairs have been easy enough to do myself, and I learned a great deal working on this car. It has plenty of power for a four door sedan, and plenty of room. The backseat folds down and creates extra trunk space if necessary. Even after all this time, I still get 28 mpg consistently. The car can be upgraded to look much more sporty. Although ... (more)
Story
When I lived out of my car, I kept a semi-truck battery in my back floor board and connected it to my main battery with a set of jumper cables. I then connected an inverter to the rear battery so I could charge my laptop and run my other devices like fans to keep cool overnight without killing my starting battery. Everytime I got pulled over the police would question me about the strange wires... (more)
Pros
Easy to work on Easy to drive Comfortable seating 4 doors Great gas mileage for the year Many aftermarket body kits Responsive and sporty drive
Cons
Changing the fuel filter is ridiculously over-complicated, I even bought the correct tools and still couldn't put the new one back on. I had to take off the master cylinder, and eventually just left it hanging in place If you have to change the oil pan, there is a bar underneath you have to remove that makes the job a royal pain.

My Honda Accord has been a perfect car. It now has 156,000 miles on it, and I have had very little trouble. I did put a new starter on it about 10,000 miles ago, and I replaced the battery at that time. I've changed tires and brakes as needed and kept up with oil changes. The body looks as good as the day I bought the car--no rust. The trunk is huge, and the rear seats fold down. I can place a sheet of plywood in the trunk with the seats folded down, toss in a few two by fours, and come home to do some home repairs without having to borrow a pickup from a friend. Then, my wife and I can dress for dinner and go out in style in our lovely automobile. We are as happy with this car today as the day we bought it. I would gladly buy another, but my 2006 continues to run perfectly and seems t... (more)
Story
A student of mine told me that my car looked and rode better than her Toyota Camry. I was dropping her off next to her car. She asked me what year my car was, and I told her 2006. She told me her car was 2010, and she said that I must keep mine in the garage all the time to keep the paint looking so good. I told her that I parked in my driveway and always had. Her car looked faded and blotchy.... (more)
Pros
The four-cylinder, 2.4 liter motor has plenty of power for cruising at freeway speeds, passing other vehicles, and getting out of the way in case of trouble. It gets exceptional gas mileage--up to 35 miles to the gallon on the highway. The vehicle has been incredibly reliable for the entire time I've owned it, it is comfortable to ride in, and it is an attractive vehicle.
Cons
I suppose the top negative thing is that my car needed a wheel alignment at 156,000 miles, and it is causing tire wear. I really don't think that this is odd for a car of this mileage or for an 11 year old car, but I think this is the only negative mechanically. I am also not pleased that the stereo lacks an input for my MP3 player or flash drive.
