They had the vehicle I was looking for in their used lot. They allow you to test drive it on your own and I took my time. Once I was happy with it, I negotiated for it. It was pretty quick process overall.

I purchased this car used and the name Honda lives up to its reputation. It is very reliable in all weather conditions. The only problem I have encountered is the battery died but that happens to all vehicles at some point. The air conditioner is fantastic. I live in the Houston area and summers can be brutal. The Honda was sitting in direct sun at the airport for five days and it took a matter of minutes to bring the well over 100 degree temperature down to a cool 68 degrees. The car also started right up. Another great feature is all the leg room in the car. My husband stands 6'4" and getting comfortable in cars has always been his challenge. He now has plenty of leg room and his knees don't get rubbed raw by the dashboard while driving it or riding along. The car has a very smooth r... (more)
Story
When my daughters great Dane came to visit during one of her college breaks he got in the car and was having a hard time fitting so we opened the sun roof and he rode around the whole time with is head popping out of the top of the car. It was so funny looking.
Pros
The air conditioner is fantastic. I have owned the car for three years and live in Texas where the summers are brutal and never have to wait long for the entire interior to get nice and cool. My make is a four cylinder but has the charge of a six cylinder when it comes to having to pick up speed. The brakes are really good. They are not too sensitive but will halt in a second if necessary. The look of the car is sleek and never seems to go out of fashion.
Cons
I wish the paint were more durable. It seems like it chips very easily. It seems like scratches and chips occur from nowhere. It is one of my pet peeves so more durable paint would be a plus. Honda is limited in their color choices. I'm not big on grey but went with it because the few other colors they offer are not the nicest. The front bumper is put on by small plastic indents which pop out whenever I drive. I have to push the bumper back in using my foot. It pops out a good inch at a time. It doesn't matter how tight I try to push it into the area where it is snapped, it still pops out.... (more)

The 1996 Honda Accord DX is a great economical car that holds up over time. I have passed 200,000 miles and it is still running great. It rarely breaks down even though it would be considered old to some people, and the engine and transmission have absolutely no issues. There have been several things I've had to repair over the years, but overall the car's major components have held up well with only normal maintenance required. Most all of the repairs have been easy enough to do myself, and I learned a great deal working on this car. It has plenty of power for a four door sedan, and plenty of room. The backseat folds down and creates extra trunk space if necessary. Even after all this time, I still get 28 mpg consistently. The car can be upgraded to look much more sporty. Although ... (more)
Story
When I lived out of my car, I kept a semi-truck battery in my back floor board and connected it to my main battery with a set of jumper cables. I then connected an inverter to the rear battery so I could charge my laptop and run my other devices like fans to keep cool overnight without killing my starting battery. Everytime I got pulled over the police would question me about the strange wires... (more)
Pros
Easy to work on Easy to drive Comfortable seating 4 doors Great gas mileage for the year Many aftermarket body kits Responsive and sporty drive
Cons
Changing the fuel filter is ridiculously over-complicated, I even bought the correct tools and still couldn't put the new one back on. I had to take off the master cylinder, and eventually just left it hanging in place If you have to change the oil pan, there is a bar underneath you have to remove that makes the job a royal pain.
