Overall, the 2011 Honda Civic is a good purchase to invest in. As with most Honda models, it's always a reliable drive, very rarely having mechanical issues, even when it has a lot of mileage on it. With that said, the model is now six years old, and the tech is outdated.
Story
When my husband and I took this vehicle to the beach, a bird decided to perch next to his side mirror. The bird then felt threatened by his own reflection and pooped all over the car.
Pros
Very reliable. The vehicle always drives smoothly with no hiccups. Not an expensive car either, which makes it a great starter car for teens or just a reliable ride for adults too. The car, as with most Hondas, gets very good MPG, which will reduce your overall gas expenditure for the year.
Cons
The technology in the car is not that great. Required a key to access the trunk, instead of just a button. There were no usb or iPod connector ports, just AUX, which isn't great for sound quality. Speakers are sub-par. And there is no back-up camera, which a lot of the newer models have. If you are looking for a very fast and powerful car, this model is not for you. It does not accelerate particularly fast and is certainly no Subaru. Also, this vehicle does not have AWD, which makes it harder to handle in inclement weather.

The Civic Coupe is small, reliable, fun and easy to drive, and relatively good looking for a budget vehicle. It gets outstanding gas mileage, and the small profile makes it easy to maneuver. I have found that it works particularly well in an urban setting, but it can more than handle its own on a variety of surfaces. It's a great all-season car. I live in Maine, and the traction and control is great on slippery or icy roads. I'm also pleased with the quality of the radio, the heating and cooling controls, and the comfort of the car.
Story
This vehicle amazingly made it up the very steep access road to Sugarloaf Mountain, Maine, during a crazy snowstorm. I don't have winter tires on it, but the traction and steering of the car held up pretty well, considering the conditions.
Pros
My favorite things about the Civic are its great gas mileage, its compact size, its sleek look, and its easy ride.
Cons
The backseat of the car is very small. Tall or large passengers will have a difficult time finding comfort anywhere in the car but especially in the backseat. I also wish the car had a back-up camera and a better windshield design. The angle and size of the windshield mean that there are awkward blind spots at the corners when turning.
