I drive a Honda Civic that has been a great, reliable car for the last five years. I have always purchased Honda's because I really like how well built they are. My last one lasting over ten years. My Civic is not incredibly stylish. It's a normal small car, but it's the reliability and what's on the inside that counts. I don't care to have an expensive car because I often hit things, so the outside doesn't matter much. My Civic always bounces back from scrapes and scratches, and the inside is really great. I feel like the inside of my car is a cockpit. It has navigation, Bluetooth, multiple screens in front of me with the speedometer, etc. The only thing it's missing that I wish it had inside technology-wise is a back-up camera. The performance of the car is decent, though I always le... (more)
Story
My favorite memories of this car are making the cross-country road trips between Illinois and Texas. We would have all of our snacks ready, the dog would be sleeping in the back seat, and we would trek 18 hours across the country.
Pros
My favorite parts about the car is the technology on the inside. This could partly be because the car I had before was from 2002, so it barely had a CD player and that was it, but I find the amenities inside of my Civic to be top notch. It has Bluetooth inside that automatically connects to my phone. It has navigation, which I don't normally use for navigation, but I like having the map follow me along so I can make route decisions on my own. In addition to the technology, I also like the size of the trunk and the backseat for a small car. I often have my dog in the backseat, but it would ... (more)
Cons
The cons of my car are few and far between. It is on the smaller side, which means I often can't see over large SUVs in front of me, which I don't like. It means I never know why there is traffic and can't see what's going on when on crowded streets. It also is not super stylish or luxurious. While I do have leather seats inside, which were a requirement when I was shopping, the outside is quite plain and not flashy. It doesn't draw extra attention either, which can be a con depending on what you are looking for. My family often does my oil changes for me, and a con they have mentioned is ... (more)

I bought this Honda Civic used at a Minnesota dealership with only 10k miles on her. From the moment I started her up, it was love at first sight. Sleek frame, smooth transmission, user-friendly (my girlfriend is a horrible driver but can somehow manage to be designated driver) and top-notch acceleration. I drove 26 hours non stop from St. Paul, MN, to Harlingen, TX. Even with the insane amount of traffic and erratic drivers, the brakes were tight and consistent without being too jolty. She is very aerodynamic also. Due to boredom and lack of better judgment at the time, I raced a couple of semis on the freeway a la Fast and Furious but won every single time, unscathed thankfully. She has the speed, endurance, and versatility of a rally car. I have driven well over 100k miles with her,... (more)
Story
A fun/memorable moment was when I visited my family in Houston. They weren't expecting me, and it had been ten years since I saw them. We are Filipino and family reunions are a kind of a big deal, usually involving a feast ample enough to feed a small country. They were ecstatic, and I got to hang out with my cousins who had grown a lot since I last saw them. I spent about a week with them goi... (more)
Pros
The top positive things I would say for my Honda Civic are efficiency, dexterity, and longevity. I used to drive about 80 miles to and from work every day and would spend just shy of $35 a week. She has put up with my past recklessness, neglect, and road rage, but still performs at a top-notch level. But like the perfect wife, I have learned to not take her for granted and now spoil her with daily car washes, weekly tire rotations and oil changes. As I mentioned, I have driven well over 100k miles now and changed some brakes. But she is still as fast, fuel efficient, and foolproof as when ... (more)
Cons
The only negative I've encountered is medium to high maintenance front brakes. I've had to change them twice already with a year and half of owning her. But that could be attributed to the previous owner's maintenance habits or lack thereof. The first time was the worse of the two. Brakes would emit a horrible grinding noise like metal on metal. But luckily here in South TX ,I was hooked up with a $200 job for the brake pads. Second time around my girlfriend accidentally crashed her into a post, and the noise was a creaky, soft grind every time I would come to a rolling stop. Got it fixed ... (more)

I have purchased two Honda Civics from this dealership. They have an excellent service department, with long hours on Saturdays. The salespeople I have worked with have always been very professional. When I purchased my first Civic, I was invited to a new owners' workshop held one evening during the week. I learned more about the dealership, its service department, and learned about caring for my Honda. This dealership does follow-up surveys about service visits I make. Whenever I take my car in for any type of service, ranging from a routine oil change to a major repair visit, I always leave with a car that has been vacuumed and washed. This is part of their service. Their waiting room also has a television and snacks. This dealership is not the closest Honda dealership to my home, bu... (more)

My wife and I live in Clovis, NM, and we had a few dealerships in Clovis that gave us nothing but a hard time or the run around. My credit is not the best so they always caused issues for me with my credit. The wonderful people of Southwest honda did not even give me troubles with my credit and gave me an excellent deal and service on my Car. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to purchase a car in the area and will go back again for my next purchase.
