2012 Honda Civic - Great, reliable car
I drive a Honda Civic that has been a great, reliable car for the last five years. I have always purchased Honda's because I really like how well built they are. My last one lasting over ten years. My Civic is not incredibly stylish. It's a normal small car, but it's the reliability and what's on the inside that counts. I don't care to have an expensive car because I often hit things, so the outside doesn't matter much. My Civic always bounces back from scrapes and scratches, and the inside is really great. I feel like the inside of my car is a cockpit. It has navigation, Bluetooth, multiple screens in front of me with the speedometer, etc. The only thing it's missing that I wish it had inside technology-wise is a back-up camera. The performance of the car is decent, though I always le... (more)
Story
My favorite memories of this car are making the cross-country road trips between Illinois and Texas. We would have all of our snacks ready, the dog would be sleeping in the back seat, and we would trek 18 hours across the country.
Pros
My favorite parts about the car is the technology on the inside. This could partly be because the car I had before was from 2002, so it barely had a CD player and that was it, but I find the amenities inside of my Civic to be top notch. It has Bluetooth inside that automatically connects to my phone. It has navigation, which I don't normally use for navigation, but I like having the map follow me along so I can make route decisions on my own. In addition to the technology, I also like the size of the trunk and the backseat for a small car. I often have my dog in the backseat, but it would ... (more)
Cons
The cons of my car are few and far between. It is on the smaller side, which means I often can't see over large SUVs in front of me, which I don't like. It means I never know why there is traffic and can't see what's going on when on crowded streets. It also is not super stylish or luxurious. While I do have leather seats inside, which were a requirement when I was shopping, the outside is quite plain and not flashy. It doesn't draw extra attention either, which can be a con depending on what you are looking for. My family often does my oil changes for me, and a con they have mentioned is ... (more)
2005 Honda Civic - You cannot go wrong with a Honda!
I bought my Honda Civic brand new in 2005. I researched many different vehicles and I wanted a durable car with excellent trade-in value. My car is now 10 years old and has 84,000 miles on it but I still love it. The paint has bleached a little from the sun and I have had to replace a few belts and tires over the years but overall it's been a great little car. It gets wonderful gas mileage and that was important to me when I bought it because at the time I was throwing a paper route that was 40 miles long 6 nights a week. I put a ton of wear and tear on it just doing those paper routes for the years that I did but it hung in there with me. Now that I own it free and clear and have done so for several years now I do not see a reason to get a new car. Change your oil when you should and ... (more)
Story
I was driving around in my Honda one night about 2:00 a.m. Throwing my newspaper route and I had a friend with me and we had the stereo blaring and singing along and I had to stop in a neighborhood I was learning on my route at 2:00 a.m. And I was looking for a house number to throw a newspaper to and the next thing you know a woman came out of her house, hair looking like a bird nest, eyes ha... (more)
Pros
The top positive things about the car of course was the miles you could get out of gasoline. I could drive a good 300 miles on a tank of gas before needing to refill and that is saving money. It rode smoothly and the car itself is nice looking. I love that the power steering is very smooth and that the cruise control buttons are on the steering wheel. I also thought for a stereo that came with the car it was pretty decent. The seats that I got were the cloth seats and to this day they have not ripped and are not thread bare so I like that the interior stays nice.
Cons
I would say the only real negative about Honda's are the air conditioning and heater. They work don't get me wrong but they do take some time to get to their full temperature. In the Winter be prepared to freeze until the car has gotten good and warmed up and in the Summer you will have to master driving with one finger tip from each hand on the steering wheel until the air conditioning gets to it's coldest setting.

2009 Honda Civic - Huggins Honda North Richland Hills
I have purchased two Honda Civics from this dealership. They have an excellent service department, with long hours on Saturdays. The salespeople I have worked with have always been very professional. When I purchased my first Civic, I was invited to a new owners' workshop held one evening during the week. I learned more about the dealership, its service department, and learned about caring for my Honda. This dealership does follow-up surveys about service visits I make. Whenever I take my car in for any type of service, ranging from a routine oil change to a major repair visit, I always leave with a car that has been vacuumed and washed. This is part of their service. Their waiting room also has a television and snacks. This dealership is not the closest Honda dealership to my home, bu... (more)
