The 2004 Honda Civic is a great value. It is good on gas. It has needed only regular maintenance such as oil changes, brakes, muffler and tires. It is reliable. I have never broke down. The front bucket type seats support my back. The power moonroof adds style. The trunk is big enough and deep enough for all of my hauling needs. The body style is sleek, even though it is older. The body shows little wear and only a very small spot of rust. The size of the car allows me to get around the city easily. It is also effortless to park. While the backseat is not large, it accommodates two adults easily. This car has been a great value for the money.

My Civic was unbreakable. Even after passing 200,000 miles the engine sounded as good as the day I bought it. Honda knows how to make a reliable engine. It felt responsive and tight even after all those miles. I never had a SINGLE major problem with this car in the 8 years I owned it. I live in Illinois and usually our cars get decimated by rust, but because the Civic doesn't have a traditional frame like our usual GM pickups, it held up extremely well. I think if you were looking for a cheap car for a new driver, the Civic would be a great choice. It is safe and reliable, and gets great mileage. What else could you want? It's not going to get you any dates but it will get you where you need to go. It is simply a great engine in a reliable frame, it is what a car should be. Simple.
