For starters, I've always owned and leased cars through Ford Motor Company, so this was my first non-American car. I was so excited considering Honda is known for their reliability; Ford not so much. Since I was a kid, I've always been attracted to the Civic Si. The sound of Vtec Kicking in is exhilarating. The style is also very attractive. The car has awesome features, such as the "smart" key fob, push to start, and touch screen. I love the performance, even though it doesn't have any forced induction (turbos and such), it still pulls hard and is a blast to drive. The interior is very sexy and attracts tons of attention. I plan to buy this car when the lease is up and expect it to last for a very long time.
Story
Racing people is fun. Most people don't expect my car to pull as hard as it does. When I first got the car, a v6 Mustang pulled up next to me and started revving at me. I ended up pulling ahead of him by at least 2 car lengths. I was very pleased.
Pros
My favorite feature is definitely the exterior. The rims and the body style is super attractive. I am constantly getting compliments from people I know, and even some strangers. The sound of the exhaust and engine is also wonderful. It has a mean grunt to it and is really nice considering its stock. I also love that it is a great platform to add modifications. The stock internals can support up to 450 horsepower before needed to be upgraded. This car is the complete package. For $23,000, you can go wrong with this car. It has everything that I was looking for in one car. I feel very comfor... (more)
Cons
Although it packs a punch, its definitely not the fastest car I've driven. Some people look at the Si as just another ricer. It doesn't really bother me, but it can be annoying. Although it attracts a lot of good attention, it also attracts some unwanted. Cops love staring me down. They must think I'm some young brat that speeds everywhere I go and drives recklessly. Along with that, my insurance has gone up since switching from a Ford. Since this is considered a sports car, expect to pay a little bit more. Since this car feels to premium, I get very nervous in parking lots and even in my ... (more)

2012 Honda Civic - Great commuter and mid-distance car

The most attractive part of the car is the fuel economy. I average 35-40 MPG year round with better mileage in the summer due to not letting it warm up in the morning. It is a comfortable ride that accommodates me well at six feet tall. I especially like the seat bottom that raises to let me stretch my legs a bit. The sound system is good right from the factory. I purchased a manual transmission model and I am happy I did. The control it offers to get up to speed and to assist in avoiding accidents by slowing and accelerating has already helped me avoid two pile-ups on the highway. It is a great commuter car and does well on trips, I just wouldn't want to do cross country (400-500 miles at a stretch at most).
Story
I was on a kick to see how much I could get out of the fuel economy. I got an average of 55 mpg for an entire week. This may not be important to others but we have a bit of a contest going between friends.
Pros
1. Excellent fuel economy. 2. Plenty of leg room. 3. The trunk is large enough to carry my gear whether I am camping or golfing. I can fit my clubs sideways in the front of the trunk as if the area was designed for it. 4. The maintenance minder feature reminds me when I need service so I don't have to keep track of it. 5. Easy to clean out; there aren't very many hard to reach nooks.
Cons
1. The headlights are a pain to change. There is no reason I should have to dismantle part of the engine compartment to reach them. 2. Road noise is an issue when I don't have the radio on. This isn't a major problem when I'm alone, but when I have my family in the car on the highway it can be difficult to hold a conversation. 3. Is it really that difficult to have a washer fluid reservoir that holds a full gallon? I have multiple bottles with a quart or less in them pilling up in my garage.

What makes this dealership so great is that the staff actually cares about you and finding just the right car for you. My car salesmen didn't try and push cars on me he knew I didn't want just to make a quick buck but worked with me to find the perfect car for me.

The dealer was in our neighborhood and one of our family friends worked there. They also were able to find the exact car I was looking for and have it shipped from another dealership out of state. I would certainly go back to this dealer in the future to make additional car purchases.
