I liked a lot about the Honda Civic. Starting off with the great 40 Miles to a gallon fuel economy it had. It did not give 40 miles to a gallon if you drove the car rough but even with rough driving it did give 32 miles to a gallon. It was wonderful for me since I had to commute 100+ miles every weekday for a whole year. I drove 25,000 miles within a year and there wasn't any maintenance required for the car other than oil change. Car is also average size to where it is very easy to park. Also to pull out of the parking space with the backup camera with multiple angles. The pick up was a little slow if you had ECON mode on but turning off made it much faster. The only thing I dislike is that the radio is based on digital antenna so you can't connect to long range radio stations.
Story
One story I have is where there was too much traffic one time while I was trying to turn left. But I can't because the traffic was backed up and if I took the turn I would have been blocking the oncoming traffic lane. This driver was behind us honking at me to turn but it clearly said not to block the intersection so I didn't. But the second time the person honked. All my friends just poked th... (more)
Pros
Great Fuel Economy. Averages at 400 miles per refill. Seats were also nice for tall people. Good leg room in the front seats. Exterior of the car looks very nice. Have been complimented several times for it. Auto head-lights never have to turn on the lights or turn it off. It does it automatically.
Cons
Back seats are not for tall people. The leg room in the back is very small. The stereo system looks a little outdated for a car this new. You can only connect your phone using USB or Bluetooth. No AUX cord. Also, only 2 places to charge your phone.

The 2001 Honda Civic was one of the best cars I have every owned. It is not much to look at, but I have owned this car for over 16 years and have not had a major issue with the car. It is still running on its original transmission, radiator, A/C, and no big issues with the engine either. I now have over 300,000 miles on the Civic, and it is still going. Just change the oil every 5,000 miles, get regular transmission, radiator, brake fluid changes, and you will have no problems with this vehicle. Some of the things I don't like are the car is not very sporty, not very attractive at all really, it only seats four comfortably (seats five uncomfortably), and the pickup is not very good compared to other cars. Something I do like is (aside from the durability) the gas mileage is very good (... (more)
Story
Many people are amazed how many miles are on the car. When I tell people I have over 300,000 miles, they are amazed!
Pros
Some of the top positive things about the 2001 Honda Civic are the following: The Civic gets fantastic gas mileage. I get around 36 mpg, so I can usually get about 400 miles on a single tank of gas. This rivals the fuel economy of many hybrids. Note, this car is an older model so it doesn't have an economy mode. I'd imagine I could get 40-42 miles per gallon if there were an economy mode. The overall maintenance costs are low. I can get my oil changed for $30, every 5,000 miles. This is standard oil, not a synthetic, which would cost quite a bit more. Changing the transmission fluid or rad... (more)
Cons
The car is not really attractive. It's a plain-looking vehicle, not very sporty or distinctive. The engine is not as powerful as other compact vehicles. It does seem a little sluggish at times, but that could be due to the age of the vehicle and/or the number of miles driven. The available exterior colors at the time were mostly neutral colors (tan, beige, silver, light blue) or the typical white, red, or black colors. The available interior colors were black or tan, not much in the way of leather, trim accents, etc. Overall, it is very plain and ordinary. The floor mats did not last very ... (more)

They were really helpful in helping buy the car I wanted for a good price. As is our nature, we asked a lot of questions and then some more and they were very patient with us. I really felt like I was buying a car form a trustworthy establishment. In the end, we walked away with a car we loved at a good price.

It was a hassle free sales process. The salesman showed me cars within my range and worked with me to create a loan schedule that would fit with my work paycheck schedule. The car was clean and in good condition and I get complementary oil changes for the term of my payments.
