2002 Honda Civic - More longevity than a Duracell battery

One of the best things about the Honda Civic is the gas mileage and the amount of miles you can put on it with minimal repairs along the way. As long as you keep up with the maintenance it can last you a long time. It may not be the sexiest car on the market but its reliability is second to none. I can fill my gas tank for 20 dollars more or less each week and I travel anywhere from 300 to 500 miles a week for work, so I get great usage out of it. There are not many bells and whistles but I am okay with that. There is plenty of cargo room; I am able to fit my 2 kids and my wife and have lots of room in the trunk for pack and play, a buggy and 3 or 4 bags if we go to the beach or take a mini vacation. The Civic holds its resale value pretty well just because it is known for being so rel... (more)
Story
I have magnets on the side of my car for my business and people always say they see me driving all over the state mainly because I drive a lot for my job.
Pros
Gas mileage, reliability, low cost repairs and maintenance.
Cons
Not the sexiest car on the market.

My 2006 Honda Civic has been like one of those plants you stick in the corner of the office that doesn't get the light it needs and is watered only if someone remembers. I never remember to bring my car in for its suggested scheduled maintenance, and yet it has not let me down.
Story
Learning how to parallel park
Pros
The gas mileage! If I baby it, I'll get mid 30's on the highway. Doing my normal commute (where we might go anywhere from 50-85mpg in a half mile stretch) I still get low 30's. The only thing I would call a feature in my car is the sunroof. It is nice to have it open to the light in the winter for that extra boost of Vitamin D. My kids love to hang out of it. I also love how inconspicuous my car is. There's a million commuter cars on the highway with me. What are the odds the cop will remember it was my specific little car speeding by?
Cons
The radio is terrible. Under the right circumstances, the cross bar thing that separates the driver's side window and the windshield obstructs the visibility. And the winter? Forget about it! My little car detests snow. It doesn't have the guts to make it up a steep semi-plowed hill. I'm sure this is something that can be remedied with snow tires, though.
