2007 Honda Civic - Reliable and steady

I really have enjoyed using my vehicle for the most part. The Honda Civic has been extremely easy to drive and has not had any major issues that couldn't be repaired pretty much immediately. My favorite part about it was the solid MPG it got especially back in 2007. My least favorite part is the lack of any solid technology since it's an old car.

Story

One fun story I had was when I was driving with the windows down in the woods with a friend in the passenger seat. We ran into a spiderweb and a couple of spiders dropped down into their lap. They immediately jumped up and freaked out while I just laughed.

Pros

My favorite feature about the vehicle is the numerically-digital based dashboard. It gives the car a futuristic vibe, especially considering the time it was purchased. I also liked that it had an mp3 jack that allowed me to plug in my music player to listen to my favorite tunes. Finally, I like its durability and reliability since I never really have to worry about it.

Cons

I don't like the lack of technology it has. The mp3 jack broke a while ago, and it seems really difficult to repair, and since it doesn't have Bluetooth, I'm forced to mainly listen to the radio. I also don't like that it doesn't have a GPS unit installed, so I have to use the phone to get directions. Finally, it's a little too small, and seating up to five people can get uncomfortable.

2017 Honda Civic - Decent car for value

I got this car because I wanted something with good gas mileage as my commute had suddenly gone from 10 miles a day to about 70 miles. My prior vehicle got about 18 MPG, which was no longer practical, so I wanted a smaller vehicle that got better gas mileage as I was primarily using a vehicle for commuting. I regularly get nearly 40 MPG now, which is excellent considering half my commute is on windy, hilly roads and the other half is freeway. I like the available features, and the car generally handles well in good road conditions. It could be a little roomier though.

Story

My wife was driving and didnÕt realize she had the parking brake on and was trying to go up a hill in just a little bit of snow (which the car would normally do fine). It was ten minutes before she realized the parking brake was still on.

Pros

I like having Apple Car Play, voice activation and text messaging. The heated seats also heat up quickly in cold weather, which is good because I live in the northeast.

Cons

The tires that came with it are not great, and it doesnÕt handle well in the snow (however, my prior car was an AWD SUV so itÕs not a very fair comparison). It also rides low and isnÕt that roomy.
