I was recently in need of a new car and also in the midst of a rough financial situation. After doing some shopping and asking around for recommendations that would fit into my budget, I came to the conclusion that an early 2000s Honda Civic would be my best bet. Overall, I wasn't disappointed. I eventually found a 2001 Civic LX and have been happy with the purchase. The car itself is reliable and has done exactly what I needed it to: gets me where I need to go. It's not fancy or elegant, but that wasn't what I was looking for. The engine is the heart of an automobile, and Honda doesn't slack off in that regard. Upon opening the hood and inspecting it myself, it was nice to see that most parts of the engine were easily accessible. This was a nice change to the car I'd owned previously,... (more)
Story
The first day I had the vehicle I took a drive along PCH to take in the view. I stopped by one of the beaches to watch the sunset. It was a good day.
Pros
Engine is built very well, with easily accessible parts in case of maintenance. Closing in at 200,000 miles, it still drives very well. Great MPG, resulting in less money spent on gas. Comfortable interior if you're in the front.
Cons
Passenger door won't open from the inside. Car's back speakers had to be replaced. Air conditioner doesn't always work. Since it's a coup, the back seats can be a bit tight.

The Honda Civic is Honda's best-selling car, so I decided to buy one. It was perfect for the money, and I got all the bells and whistles with it. I had power windows, and it was automatic transmission. I liked the cloth fabric seats that it came with. Was perfect car for a first time driver since you wouldn't want to trash an expensive car. The steering and power was great for the price of the car. I also enjoyed how easy it was to configure the car with after market parts.
Story
Doing donuts in the parking lot. I also enjoyed doing road trips. Was fun to customize the car with an awesome sounds system.
Pros
The best part of the car that I like was gas mileage. I can drive really far on a full tank of gas. The transmission is really good and never broke down. There was lots of room for people to fit comfortable for long trips. The style of the outside body of the car is really stylish, also.
Cons
After 150k miles and several owners, I think she's just tired and worn down. But, being a Honda, I have no real problems with her. The car does have loud road sounds. Also, it rides rougher than any other car I had.

I had a pleasant experience at this dealership. I was well treated and they had the car that I wanted to buy available in stock. They were not pushy and they gave me the time to think about the decision. I also was about negotiate with them a little bit concerning the car and I feel like I got a good deal. Also, the service was prompt and I didn't have to spend too much time waiting for the purchase.
