2012 Honda Civic - What You Expect From a Civic
The car is priced fairly. It has the reliability factor that is expected from Honda. It's fuel economy is pretty good. I cannot fit lumber for my home improvement projects in it too easily. The interior is a bit bring, but nothing terrible. The car is too low to the ground to get it on ramps if you want to change the oil yourself, it is a bit of a project. It is reasonably comfortable on long trips. I appreciate the features like the on steering wheel radio controls.
Story
Nothing particularly memorable or fun to say about it.
Pros
My favorite feature is the great fuel economy. The price tag is pretty attractive. It is a decent looking car.
Cons
There are two many similar looking cars in parking lots. It is very time consuming to do oil changes since it is so low to the grown. There is also a cover plate to remove. None of these are going to be issue for most people. The back seat does not fold down completely. It has a frame the prevents you from putting very large objects in the back.
2008 Honda Civic - Overall good car
My Honda Civic has served me well over the past 8 years. It has always been pretty reliable and I have been able to use it for work and fun without any major issues. Even when things have gone wrong with the car, Honda has done a good job of taking care of those issues.
Story
I used this car for a fun road trip with friends to a few baseball parks a little while after getting the car. Between the GPS and the good gas mileage I was able to enjoy the road trip and get to the places we wanted easily and efficiently.
Pros
The car gets decent gas mileage and has been good for road trips. I also really enjoy the GPS built into the car which I use all the time.
Cons
I have had a few issues over the years including an issue with a crack in the engine block that caused overheating issues with the car. However, Honda did respond quickly about fixing the issue and replacing not only my engine but any other parts effected by this.
