2013 Honda CR-V - Love My Car

Overall, I am more than satisfied with my choice in buying a CR-V. I have driven about 30,000 miles on it, with no problems thus far. It is reliable and has performed well in all weather conditions, including trips up to the mountains in the snow. The trunk space is really ample, considering the overall size of the vehicle, and the backseat being able to lie completely flat has come in handy more than once, whether for moving house, transporting bikes and equipment, or bringing furniture home from the store.
Story
We took it down to visit both my parents and my husband's parents for Christmas, and filled up the entirety of the back (back seat down for a full flat area with trunk) with gifts. My mom took pictures of it before we unloaded, actually, calling it Santa's sleigh...
Pros
I would say the top positive thing about my vehicle is that it is all wheel drive capable, and so it's perfect for driving up the mountains or in the snow (or heavy rain, etc.). Also, I love the economy mode for when I'm just driving around town- I generally leave it in the economy mode at all times, and it saves on gas. I get about 350+ miles to a full tank, and that's with a lot of traffic and commuting thrown in. My absolute favorite thing about the car though is actually the console in between the driver and passenger front seats: its huge, and deep, with a cover, so I can keep things... (more)
Cons
The thing that jumps to mind in terms of a negative feature is a small one, but is somewhat annoying: the front passenger seat has no armrest. The driver's seat has one, which I love, but weirdly the passenger seat doesn't. Minor, but I wish it was there. The only other negative thing is that I have had a couple of instances where I wished that the back upper slope of the trunk was less curved (i.e. Maintained going up straight for a little longer than it actually does), so that I could fit large objects in a little better. Altogether though, there is a ton of space so I can't complain abo... (more)

The car is very reliable. It's not state of the art or flashy in any way but it's a pleasure to drive, comfortable, and gives you a smooth ride. I wish the sound system was more current as it doesn't have HD radio, but it does have a 6 cd changer. I love that it has a sunroof and a lot of cargo room. While it is an SUV, it isn't a huge gas guzzler so its mpg is a nice feature. I have three sheepdogs who all fit quite comfy in the back of the cargo area whilst the back seats are folded over.
Story
As this is a popular model and color (a sort of silverish blue) there are many people in my area with the same car. I once came out of a store to go back to my car, and using the remote unlock on my keychain I tried to unlock my door from a distance. When I got to my car, I noticed that the doors hadn't unlocked. I kept pressing on the button but to no avail. I thought it had run out of batter... (more)
Pros
My top pros for that car are that it seats three adults comfortably in the back and the rear seats fold down and over, virtually making the car a covered truck. There is a sun/moon roof, air conditioning that cools the car all the way to the very back, and it has a rear window defrost that has made my life much easier driving on those cold nights. The car rides very smooth, and you can't even tell that the engine is running while at idle.
Cons
There aren't too many negatives actually. One VERY BIG negative is that there is an overpowering vibrational rumbling noise if I roll down the front windows. To Counter this noise I MUST at least crack open one of the rear windows to create a cross current to dampen the noise.

Auburn Honda has always been great - This is actually the 4th car my family has bought with them. They give really fair prices and work with you for loans and on those prices so that you can be able to pay them. We have bought a Civic (used), an Accord (used) and two new Pilots with them. They also have a really great service department. All the work they do is priced fairly and they deal with everyone in a timely matter.

The sales associate was extremely friendly and greeted me as soon as I drove up. We were offered coffee while we waited for the paperwork to be printed. I was able to test drive on the streets and on the highway. The dealership worked with us on finding a workable payment arrangement. The sales associate helped me clean out my old car and move into the new one as soon as the sale was finalized.
