The 2011 Honda Odyssey is a fantastic family vehicle that drives like a dream. On road trips the car is silent on the highway allowing the driver to enjoy the BOSE sound system included in this van. The gas mileage is above average for such a large vehicle. The adjustable leather seating accommodates drivers of all sizes with ease. This van has three rows and the ability to extend the trunk size by folding down the last row so you can carry large and long objects if needed. The middle row console is removable to allow easy access to the back. The sleek body design transcends a typical van look into something desirable for the driver. The van has quick pick up with a 6-cylinder engine that accelerates quickly for the driver. True to the Honda brand, the van is extremely reliable and asi... (more)
Story
We take our van to Florida every summer on a multi-state road trip and it has never let us down with performance or comfort. We never have to worry about break downs or computer errors happening during our trips.
Pros
The side doors open and close with a simple button push by the driver making car pool a snap at the school with the children. The last row seats are easy to fold down or put back up to accommodate those extra shopping trips with bulky items. Although the van is large it's easy to maneuver for parking and on the road, and the brakes work well if you need to stop quickly.
Cons
The navigation is tricky to use and does not provide real-time traffic updates. It can only be updated with new roads and maps by ordering a CD from the dealership which is inconvenient. The dashboard drawer allows items to fall behind it and you aren't able to remove the drawer to retrieve any lost objects.

Our Odyssey has been one of the best cars I've ever purchased. It was the first I ever bought with a loan, and I don't regret it for a minute! We were looking for something with a TV (my son's request), sliding doors (my daughter's request), a ton of leg room in the front (my husband's request), that was big enough to haul around lots of beach supplies and still have a 3rd row of seats for extra friends. We also wanted something as reliable as possible, cause I was tired of paying for repairs. I bought my Odyssey with 60,000 miles, and it now has over 120,000. I've had very few maintenance issues, and my inspections have all been spectacular. We've even used it to haul a camper.
Story
We love going to the beach. Our Odyssey is fantastic at carrying all the suitcases, bikes, beach chairs, and food. Plus, it's super easy to clean the sand out of the carpets! It also hauls around our camper nicely, even up the mountains!
Pros
You can't beat it for comfort. Lots of room, something for everyone (TV, sliding doors, third row, big trunk, etc.). It's been an extremely solid vehicle, other than the dent my husband put in it. The reliability of the parts is excellent--other than tires, the only real maintenance we've done is to replace the power steering pump. It's never left me stranded, even when I was low on gas! It doesn't have any trouble hauling our pop-up camper either.
Cons
Everyone owns one. It's hard to find in a parking lot without my specific window decorations, especially because I have a gray color. Now that we've got a bigger yard, I really miss having a full truck bed. Although I can take the seats out and get quite a bit of room, I hate putting mulch or leaves in my van. Also, although there's some get-up-and-go, I'd rather have a bigger engine.
