2011 Honda Odyssey - Overall I love the Honda Odyssey.
I love how it is a roomy family vehicle and still feels like I am driving a luxury car. The truck space with all the seats in position is still big enough to accommodate groceries a family of 6 with no problems at all. I also love the cool "fridge" option for keeping my water cold while I am running errands in the heat. I was hesitant on getting a minivan because I loved my Tahoe but after owning it for 10 months I would not change a thing. The only dislike I have is sometimes the power sliding doors do not open or close for some reason and I have to hit the "on/off" switch on the drivers panel to make them function again. I also just recently have been having a problem with the electronic tailgate closing with just a push button, I have read that the heat does that to them sometimes, ... (more)
Story
A friend of mine purchased a mini donkey and couldn't figure out how to get it home from the farm she bought it from, we went up there and transported the donkey home (less then 3 miles) in the back of the Odyssey!
Pros
It is great on gas mileage, it fits my 4 kids with plenty of room to spare which limits fighting on long car rides, it has great truck space, it looks stylish so I do not feel like I am driving a mom car and it is very comfortable and the quality is really good.
Cons
The only con I have had so far seems to be that the electronic push button doors sometimes seem to malfunction and won't open and close without a little reset.
2007 Honda Odyssey - Great purchase
I have never wanted a van! I did not want to be the crazy van lady who totes her kids around to soccer practice. But when I got pregnant with my 3rd kid, and we only owned two small cars, we knew that we would have to upgrade to larger car. We shopped around and eventually landed on the Honda Odyssey. I am so glad we did. It has turned out to be one of the best cars I've ever had. We bought it used, so it has some cosmetic flaws, but it has run like a champ since we bought it 18 months ago. It had over 100,000 miles when we got it, and it shows no signs for the worse as of yet. I am so happy with this van!
Story
We took this on our first family trip to the beach. The kids got to watch DVD's in the DVD player, and my husband and I were able to talk to each other up front. Plenty of room for all of our stuff!
Pros
Plenty of room for everyone! We have two full size car seats in there and a booster, and can mostly comfortably fit an additional four adults with luggage. I love how easy it is to fold down the back seats. I can either fold down all of them or just one of the two sections. This is so handy when it comes to storing the stroller! It's stow, and go, so if they're all folded down, the floor is flat and we were even able to move a riding mower inside!
