I purchased this vehicle new and have rarely had any problems with it. The interior of the van is beige cloth and has held up extremely well over the last 20 plus years!! The body is in great shape, and the paint has also lasted. The van has been dependable and a great family car. We have taken trips in it, and there is room for everyone and our dogs!! The cargo area is a big plus for everyday use like grocery shopping or long trips as I mentioned. The seats fold down and you can haul many types of furniture or home improvement items in the back. The only problems I have ever had were normal wear and tear such as the starter going out or just replacing the brakes. This van has been virtually maintenance free - no large surprises or problems. We have put over 160K miles on this car, and... (more)
Story
We took a trip to San Diego in the van and ended up sleeping in the back. We could not find a motel or hotel to stay in because it was during Comi-con. A very busy time. We all were comfortable and slept well for the night.
Pros
Comfortable seating for all. Great driver comfort as well as nice bench seats for people in the very back. Very reliable mechanics. A solid van with virtually no problems besides the normal wear and tear with use. Great interior design. Fabric has held up for years with no tears and the interior is well air conditioned, including the back for passengers. Nice cup holders for each seat. Very handy. Great cargo space for family or transporting things.
Cons
A little more expensive than some other vans, but over the years, it has proven to be worth every penny.

We recently bought a 2016 Odyssey from CarMax with around 7k miles. My mom has leased the Odyssey for years (she currently has the 2017), so I've spent a lot of time driving it. There's nothing better than a minivan for a road trip. Tons of room, great comfort, and you aren't piled on top of each other and driving each other crazy! Because our son is going to be a teenager soon, I wanted plenty of room for him and any friends/family/Labrador retrievers that might be riding back there. The reliability of Honda was also a big factor in our decision.
Story
We haven't had the car that long yet, but I do enjoy driving our son to school and picking him up. He loves having his own space back there!
Pros
Some of the best features of this van are the comfortable seats for all passengers, the huge amount of room, safety features, and ease of driving. Our old car didn't even have a backup camera. Now I have that plus the collision warning, the blind spot camera (great around here because there are tons of bikers on the road and I always worry about not seeing one when I cross the bike lane to make a right hand turn). I use the heated front seated all the time as I have hip and lower back pain. It's like driving around with a heating pad. The rear seat is incredibly easy to fold down or put ba... (more)
Cons
My only complaint so far is that there is a creaking noise right behind the driver's seat. I've looked into this, and it's apparently an issue with two pieces of metal rubbing against each other in the framing. Since it's still under warranty I plan to take it to the dealer to get it fixed, but I haven't been in a huge hurry since it doesn't affect anything besides slightly annoying me. Also, the fuel economy isn't fantastic, but since I don't drive very many miles per year I don't feel too guilty.

Over the years since buying my car from this dealership I have never had a real issue. Whenever I need my car serviced for anything such as an oil change, it's always easy and fast. I have no problems with their service and I don't ever have to wait very long when I do get service. The process of my buying my vehicle was fairly easy as well, I was never pressured and was told the truth the whole time. I was able to test drive and ask as many questions as I wanted without the pressure of buy the vehicle.

Seems like salesmen at most dealerships read the same training manual. It must work, revenue-wise. But from the customer's point of view, it can be frustrating. During my experience, there was a lot of , "Let me run this by my manager. " Then long waits while the salesman and manager confer. This Kabuki dance goes on indeterminably, until the customer is either worn down or finagled into buying a different car. With persistence, sometimes you can actually get a good deal.
