I would say that the Honda Pilot is a very reliable, comfortable vehicle perfect for an average family or someone who drives and needs ample space for children, cargo, etc. It's a suave looking vehicle, that also isn't too terrible on gas, unlike an escalade or something of that nature. I think this car is reliable, and lasts well into the upper 100,000 mile range, if properly maintained. I can say from experience that this is a comfortable, yet not too flashy, good-looking vehicle. I would think it is definitely a good family car, especially for the make and the price. I have had several different Hondas, all of which held up extremely well, were easy to maintain, and were standard enough that I could take them to nearly any auto place for maintenance. The Pilot specifically is nice in the snow and non-ideal weather by its size. It is also conducive to carrying around kids and the sports, school, etc. equipment they sometimes need to bring along with them. The customizable options are very nice as well, and allow for special sorts of radio and other dash functions that allow this to remain a "souped up" vehicle for the coolest of cats.

Talk about all around great vehicle. Starting with the spacious, well designed interior that matches the best of luxury SUV's out there. The handling capability on and of the road is perfect for the "adventurer". When driving on trails, I could barely even notice I was on them. Plenty of luggage room in the back, and all the kids fit with ease. All around great SUV and reasonably priced.
