2003 Hyundai Santa Fe - Basic and reliable
This car was extremely sturdy. I never had any issues with the frame or rattling, and I have driven this car almost 300,000 miles. The original stereo still functions to this day. Even after many years of commuting, the A/C system still blows very cold. I have experienced more mechanical issues as of late, which is understandable due to the age of the vehicle. I eventually had to replace the alternator and radiator in this vehicle. But I have performed relatively little maintenance over the life time of this car. The interior is very comfortable, with deep seats and much leg room in the second row. As a student, it is extremely helpful to have this vehicle. I'm able to fit the entire contents of my dorm room into the back of my car! I am also easily able to fit my bike into the back on... (more)
Story
I remember once fitting my entire friend group of eight people into this five-seat car to go watch fireworks.
Pros
Comfortable for daily commuting. Handles well for an SUV-type vehicle. Lots of leg room in second row.
Cons
Gas mileage. Maintenance is expensive near end of vehicle life.
2001 Hyundai Santa Fe - I really liked it
It's dependable, It's great for traveling long distances. Maintenance is low so you have plenty of time to save up when the car eventually will fail on you. This is about the most reliable car I have ever owned. It still runs after putting 150,000 miles on it. It is spacious, comfortable in front and rear, has a large trunk area and drives beautifully. It sits up higher than most vehicles. Although the car is more than 10 years old now the paint is starting to peel, but other than that appearance issue it still looks great. The radio/cd player really sucks but what do you expect out of a 2001 car model? If you're a big person then the driver seat won't be very comfortable for you. But it is comfortable car if you're not a big person. This SUV is great during the winter. I have avoided ... (more)
Pros
The 4 wheel drive or All wheel drive is great during the winter seasons. Very safe. Seats are comfortable. Motor is powerful, smooth ride. Good fuel consumption. Great cargo space
Cons
The corrosion axle issue that resulted in a lawsuit. When a problem does arise it'll cost you a lot of money. Always be prepared to fix it when necessary. Timing belt needs to replaced frequently. The radio and CD player was never the best feature of the car.

2008 Hyundai Sonata -
Honestly not much, but some things that had stuck out include the price and the friendliness.
2013 Hyundai Sonata - Porter Hyundai Newark
We were looking for a new car to replace my fiancé's old one that was on its last legs. Gary was very knowledgeable and patient and worked with us to negotiate a price that we thought was fair. The only downside to the transaction was that we didn't get nearly as much for the trade-in as we thought we should have. Nevertheless, the Sonata we purchased runs great and we have no complaints.
