I currently drive a 2017 Jeep Cherokee. The vehicle has been fantastic. It is incredibly quiet when driving. I have two large teenage sons, and they're able to ride in the back seat without crossing into each other's territory, preventing a backseat brawl. The Cherokee gets incredibly good gas mileage, but still accelerates quickly. The interior is very user friendly for the driver.
Story
We took our 2017 Jeep Cherokee on an incredibly fun camping trip. We had ample room for all of our gear, and even spent the night in it during a thunderstorm.
Pros
My favorite features of this vehicle are numerous. The ride is smooth, the acceleration is fantastic, and the seats are incredibly comfortable. The car has a very sophisticated look but still manages to maintain its rugged appearance. The storage is ample and can haul quite a load of groceries. The engineers of this vehicle thought of storage at every turn, even including storage under the front passenger cushion. In addition, there is a charging station at every turn, even having a 110 outlet. The on board diagnostics offer not only information, but peace of mind.
Cons
The cons on the 2017 Jeep Cherokee are few and far between. The vehicle did not come with a spare tire, something I prefer, and is a feature on other models.

My Jeep Cherokee is a 4WD model with a 6 cylinder 4.0 Liter engine. Sport XJ.
Story
Driving through a blizzard in 2 ft of snow with no problems.
Pros
The Cherokee has good power and climbing ability. There are many upgrades that can be purchased for body armor, suspension lift, roof racks, extra lights, winches, and larger off-road tires. I have been able to go through mud holes, deep snow, icy roads, and semi deep water with a 3 inch lift kit. The interior is roomy enough for 4 + 1 driver to ride. The rear seats fold down for extra stowage capacity. This vehicle can be very fun to drive in the snow and off-road.
Cons
Problems developed in the factory wiring. I have had to rewire/bypass some lighting systems because flasher relay failures burnt up the wiring. There are plastic sensor units controlling your idle and how your engine runs. In harsh environments like cold weather or hot/dry areas, these sensor will fail, leaving you stranded in the middle of nowhere. Many of the coolant junctions are a plastic type, which become brittle or crack under weather and environment changes. Aerodynamically, the head wind on this vehicle will create a challenge to keep it straight on the road. The body is very rugg... (more)
