I love my Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo. This vehicle comes with excellent quality. I currently have over 125K miles and there have been no major issues or repairs other than routine maintenance. Our package is a high end Laredo, so we have leather seats, moon roof, and other amenities such as keyless entry and navigation. Even though we do not have the top of the line option, it feels luxurious and spacious. The cargo space is appropriate for our family size. We bought the vehicle used, at which time it was only two years old. Because of this, we have a very manageable payment for the amenities of the car.
Story
Our kids are teenagers, but not yet old enough to drive, so they are with us often. Our oldest will be able to drive soon. We took her to a local parking lot to give her some basic driving lessons. She was nervous and excited all at the same time. She almost hit a light pole in the parking lot.
Pros
The top pros about this vehicle are the amenities and the Jeep brand. We have leather seats, power everything, navigation, blue tooth, satellite radio, keyless entry, remote start, and a backup camera. Although these features are becoming more standard, they are not always. We recently had a rental, which was also a Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo, and it had none of these amenities. The Jeep brand also carries an amount of respect. I have a friend who is able to buy very high end cars and she loves my Jeep as well. She said you can buy the lowest model Jeep and it still looks and feels l... (more)
Cons
A negative about the vehicle is that there is not a third row option. We have three teenagers and they have enough room in the backseat, even for long trips. However, they are not able to bring friends because we do not have that third row. I think that Jeep should make an option that includes a third row somehow. The other negative is that the four-wheel drive is automatic. Only the high-end models offer an option where the driver can manually activate four-wheel drive. As a four-wheel drive vehicle, I think this option should be standard.

This vehicle has what you want and need with every trim. I bought the Laredo 75th anniversary edition and have not been disappointed. The gas mileage has been respectable for a 4x4 SUV as I am averaging around 22MPG. The cabin is quiet and the ride seems smooth. The 75th Anniversary edition offers a chance to get some Limited trim features on a Laredo body and it offers unique exterior styling as well. Chrome is replaced with bronze colors on the exterior. Also, for the families, three across in the back seat is very possible when it comes to car seats. Only downfalls thus far are the A/C doesn't seem to get as cold as it should and the feature which turns the engine off when stopped sometimes lags when turning back on. Don't let that stop you, though, because this vehicle is awesome.
Story
Coming from the Jeep Patriot, my first drive was exhilarating. This Jeep drives so much better than the Patriot and I felt like a grown up.
Pros
This vehicle is capable, rain shine or snow. You can use it as an everyday vehicle or go to the mountains and have some fun. Jeep has come a long way with their gas mileage and their performance has not taken a hit. You can also select between Eco, normal, or Sport mode if you wish. The interior is spacious and there is plenty of cargo room in the back. The U-Connect 8.4 with SiriusXM is easy to use and also lets you pause and rewind while listening to SXM. Overall, there's a lot to love.
Cons
There isn't much to hate but first, the engine cutoff feature when stopped does seem to lag at times when you attempt to accelerate again. You can get around this as the feature only seems to enable when you fully press the brake pedal. Also, the feature can be turned off altogether if desired. The A/C isn't as cold as I would like. I also felt it took a while to find the optimal seat and steering wheel position, and I am not sure I love how the lumbar support feels.
