Solid and Trustworthy Vehicle
I feel very safe in this vehicle. Even considering the age, it starts right up and gets me safely to where I need to be. We have had to make minor repairs only, and it runs like a beast. I like the simplicity of the vehicle. It looks great, but not flashy. It is definitely comfortable and roomy, especially for a family and dog. The trunk is very spacious. At the time it is holding 2 spares, along with extra gas container and car items, yet always able to hold all the bags for a big grocery trip with no problem. Gas mileage, of course, is not great but to be expected with the size of the tank along with current gas prices. It is fun to drive in rain, shine, or snow! Four wheel drive is a huge plus in the winter! Handles well and is all around a very safe vehicle. The downsides as mentioned would definitely be gas mileage, and tends to have a louder sound when the engine is started. All to be expected, however.

Old Reliable Warhorse
Great buy at ~$2000 for an old car with high mileage. Only major repair was on the transmission. Gas mileage on the highway is around 16mpg, not so bad for an old warrior. The boxy, all steel body, was great for a few years, but the tough winters in upstate New York caused it to start rusting a bit. Rides rough and makes odd noises, but that is to be expected in an old car, the seats are comfortable however. The four wheel drive system was easy to use and came in handy during snowy conditions, as well as for off road excursions. The car had great 0-40mph acceleration, but it's low on the top end, and starts to feel loose around 70mph. Despite the negatives, it was a relatively maintenance free car, tough as nails, with plenty of interior and trunk space, and some old school lines
