2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee - Second Best SUV I've Ever Had

When I began looking for a new car to replace the truck I was currently driving, I immediately gravitated toward the Grand Cherokee. I still needed the cargo space provided by the truck, but with plenty of room for my family. The dealership had both the Grand Cherokee and a Dodge Durango for me to choose from, and the Grand Cherokee easily won my vote. The Durango was a year newer, but had lower gas mileage ratings and was really bigger than I needed. The Grand Cherokee offered the styling I was looking for along with decent gas mileage and Jeep reliability. A newer model was out of my price point, but the 2008 model was still modern looking enough to not be outdated.
Pros
The styling and reliability were this vehicle's top attributes for me. I was shopping in a particular price range, and most of the vehicles I found had an older look to them. Jeep has always been a preferred maker in my family, so it was a natural choice. Among family and friends, I do not know one that has had significant issues with their Jeep or has been displeased with it in any major way.
Cons
My main complaint with the 2008 Grand Cherokee is the gas mileage. Compared to other foreign makers, the gas mileage really does not stack up. I can only get about 16.5 mpg combined city and highway and up to 21 mpg highway. I have owned two other makes of SUVs of a similar size in the past and for a V6, it was a little lacking. I also made the choice to go with a 2WD Grand Cherokee, which works perfectly fine for me. Though it does hurt the resale or trade in value significantly. When I go to purchase my next Grand Cherokee, I will likely choose the 4WD option to protect my investment.

2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee - too bulky

I disliked driving the vehicle as it was very bulky and hard to maneuver in tight spaces, such as parking lots and city streets. It's spacious inside and comfortable for long trips, but the terrible gas mileage is a con. Additionally, I disliked the look of the car and I didn't like the color (dark green).
Story
Great for long trips when you need to bring a lot of people and equipment, such as a camping trip.
Pros
Vehicle is very spacious and comfortable, and all of the interior features (radio, AC controls, etc.) are very user friendly and easily reachable
Cons
--Poor gas mileage --Bulky/hard to maneuver in tight spots --Ugly look
