Initially, I didn't care very much for the Jeep. I thought the car seemed too masculine and big. I frequently chose to drive my Mercury Cougar instead. However, what I've found over the years is that Jeeps, my Grand Cherokee in particular, was made to last. Despite being driven over twice as much since I moved to the country, it's needed less than half the maintenance of my sports car.
Story
Four years ago, my partner and I were taking a trip to Broadway in New York. We had to catch an early morning flight, but were completely snowed in and our plow guy wasn't getting back to us. Two hours before our flight, we warmed up the Jeep and opened our garage. My partner put the Jeep in reverse and floored it into our driveway, taking us backwards up a steep, snow-covered hill. We swerved... (more)
Pros
I can always rely on it to get me where I need to go, regardless of the weather. After eight year and 250,000 miles, I've yet to have a single breakdown. I feel strongly that with proper maintenance I can get another half million miles out of it.
Cons
It's not as fashionable as some cars. As a woman, I feel a bit masculine driving it.

For the most part I really enjoyed owning my Grand Cherokee Laredo. It was a limited edition and even from 2000 it has a multi disk CD player.
Story
When we first bought the vehicle my daughter was a young team she loved the radio stereo CD player and we used to open the sky window in the windows and blast the music and just have fun riding around
Pros
With the all-wheel-drive I felt it has kept me very safe all winter long even in the snowiest of conditions. It's actually amazing because even after 10 years, the CD player, tape player and radio still work like new. I love the heated seats and the sky window. Still looks very In Style.
Cons
One of the problems that I didn't like was that the heating system had to be fixed quite a few times. Also, sometimes the electrical power windows and different things would stop working and you have to get a mechanic to fix them. It could just be that we've had it for 10 years but it's the first car I ever had those electrical problems with.
