Good value, great introduction to Jeep
This is a solid entry level to the Jeep brand. After approximately 25,000 miles and a little over a year's worth of driving, I have had no issues with this vehicle whatsoever and still actively enjoy driving it. The cargo area is spacious enough for my needs (family of two active adults with two dogs), and I've even been able to fit a full- sized bicycle in the back! It gets decent enough gas mileage, even on twisty New England back roads. The interior has a sturdy, well-made feel that I appreciate. It isn't fancy, but doesn't look cheap, either, and I don't have any problems cleaning my dash.

Jeep Patriot
The Jeep Patriot was my choice because it was the least expensive Jeep model. I needed a 4x4 vehicle for the harsh winters here in the Northeast. The vehicle has been great so far in winter weather. I chose manual transmission and have had a few instances of the vehicle stalling out on me at stop lights. The Patriot is the only jeep model aside from the wrangler that still has the classic boxy design that I prefer. I got the sport and it didn't come with any frills except for power windows and a CD player. The backseat is spacious enough but can't fit 3 car seats. The trunk is roomy enough for my needs. It's powerful enough but could have more upkick. I love the sound of the engine roaring when I hit the gas. It goes up hill very easily. The cabin and engine filters need to be changed frequently which is something I haven't experienced before. Luckily it's easy enough to do on my own so it's not too expensive. I have 30,000 miles on it and it's still going good with no problems. The tires are holding up well but the brakes will need to be worked on soon. It is a bit of a gas guzzler as well.
