I bought this Jeep a few years back, it was probably one of the single greatest decisions of my life. Up until this point, I had owned boring old Honda Accord's. I have nothing against a Honda, but they are essentially boring. The Jeep provides for great outdoorsy type of experiences that you simply cannot replicate with any other known vehicle. Taking the doors off and cruising around is one of the funniest things I can do.
Story
I met my wife in my brand new jeep when I took it to the beach for the first time. Like I said, it is a great vehicle for cruising.
Pros
Like I said early, taking the doors off and cruising around in the summer is one of the funniest things an individual can do with this particular vehicle. It is immense fun, especially when you have the top off and you are out simply cruising around the beach. It is also a great off terrain vehicle. I took it out in the mountains and I had a superb time with the Jeep. I cannot say enough good things about it.
Cons
The only real cons that I can think of are some of the maintenance expenses. They are not extraordinary, but if you aren't prepared for them you can be caught off guard. One of the biggest expenses that caught me off guard was the cost of new tires. If you aren't prepared, and have to buy some in a pinch, it can be really expensive. So what I did was find a cheap pair at Costco and loaded on 3 sets.

The Jeep Wrangler is one of the best used cars I've ever had. At first I was apprehensive about purchasing a used vehicle because I don't have time to deal with issues that crop up. However, the dealer I purchased it from was spot on in regards to service. If you aren't familiar with a Jeep, it is a great beach car. You can take the doors off and just cruise. Most states will allow the doors to be taken off.
Story
I took my Jeep cruising in Ocean City, MD, one summer with the doors off. It was one of the best experiences of my life.
Pros
So the big pro with a Jeep is its ability to be driven on multiple terrains and with ease. I use mine mostly for cruising the beach and areas like that. But I've also taken the Jeep off roading up in the mountains. The car does great, and I can't say enough good things about it. One of the big pluses with a Jeep is that the doors can be taken off for cool cruising time. Especially when you take the roof down.
Cons
The big con with the vehicle is that the tires can be a bit pricey, and they wear out fairly quickly. I was able to find some cheap one from Costco, and it takes some of the blunt off. The other downer can be water leaks if you won't put the roof on correctly, so make sure you do your best to take care of latching it down correctly. Additionally, there are a few technical service bulletins out there as well.
