The Lotus Elise is one of the funnest cars I have driven. It's a lightweight and barebones racecar for the street. It has very sharp handling, the steering is very direct and you get tons of feedback from the wheel. The acceleration is great, with a claimed 0-60 of 4.5 Seconds.
Story
My first drive after having the vehicle shipped from out of state. It felt like no other vehicle I had driven before. It truly felt like a racecar for the street.
Pros
Great handling, very balanced mid engine layout. Sharp acceleration from 4 cylinder supercharged engine. Good fuel economy. Removable top for sunny days.
Cons
Exhaust drones at highway speeds.Ride can be harsh on rough pavement. Entry and exit of the vehicle is tricky. Repairs can be expensive.

This car is a lot of fun to drive. It's got great styling, as evidenced by the stares of pedestrians and passersby. But it's much more than that. It's the best handling car on the road. Due to its light weight, it has really quick acceleration. You are absolutely in control while driving it, thanks to really responsive steering. Its center of gravity is very low to the ground, which can be a blessing and a curse.
Pros
The best thing about driving this car is the phenomenal handling. Responsive steering and a lightweight aluminum body form this nimble sports car; it's as at home on the track as it is on the road. It has a sleek, impressive look that draws attention wherever the car goes. You can't find another mid-engined car in this price range.
Cons
It's not a car for everyone. It's a no-frills, spartan interior that offers few comforts. The trunk space is shared with the engine compartment, so it's small and gets really hot from the engine heat. You hear every growl from the engine and feel every bump in the road. As with most sports cars, it's difficult to see rearward. While it requires little maintenance, repairs to the fiberglass bodywork are costly.
