After owning BMW 5 series and Mercedes CLK and S series, I leased a new 2015 Maserati Ghibli, if for no other reason than the car is insanely fun to drive. From the first glance, this car is gorgeous from its stylish and elegant exterior and the iconic trident "logo" to the beautiful interior and buttery soft leather seats. Once in the car, there is more than enough room for even the tallest driver or passenger to enjoy a ride in complete comfort. Turn on the car and the growl of the engine will have heads turning no matter where you drive. The engine is made by Ferrari so you know it will have that superb Italian engineering. The Maserati Ghibli accelerates quickly and will get you on the freeway and merged into traffic with no problems. But, all that gorgeous Italian beauty and engin... (more)
Story
We go to many black tie events and the valet lines are an endless parade of Mercedes, Bentleys, Rolls and the like. But, when we say, "it's the navy blue Maserati Ghibli," the valet's face lights up!
Pros
The most positive aspect of the Maserati Ghibli is the beauty of this Italian car. Everywhere you drive, people will comment about what a great car it is. Valets always comment about the car and ask questions. It's the perfect car to stand out from the crowd!
Cons
The only negative is less-than-idea gas mileage. You do have to fill up more often, and than can be a down side as gas prices go up, but that's a small tick in the negative box.

2005 Maserati Coupe - Gorgeous car but unreliable and expensive to maintain

This has to be one of the most beautiful cars ever made. The quality was superb. It is mostly handmade and it showed. The interior roof liner was hand quilted leather. The dashboard was also hand formed leather and had a clock made by Jaeger le Coultre. Driving it was exciting, nerve wracking, and mostly uncomfortable. It had a very pronounced blind spot when backing up and didn't come with a back up system. It absolutely needed one. I found the leg room great but the head room was horrible. I am 5'10 and my head brushed the roof. It was difficult to find the horn as it wasn't in the middle of the steering wheel but on either side. The paddle shifting was fun and the car was terrifyingly fast. It easily spun out when the ground was wet. The braking was tremendously effective and th... (more)
Story
When I bought the car I was a new mom. The first thing I did when I picked it up at the Ferrari/Maserati dealership was drive to a baby store that professionally installed car seats and had one put in the back. I knew if I didn't do this my husband would be the one driving it all the time.
Pros
Beautiful. Fast. Eye catching. I loved the interior finishes. The leather was extraordinary. Built beautifully. The curve of the hood was a thing of beauty.
Cons
Prone to overheating. Expensive to maintain. Scary to drive in the rain.
