The 2007 Mazda6 is a sedan that runs well in all kinds of environments. I drive the car in a cold climate with poor roads, and the Mazda6 has handled itself well in these types of conditions without any need for significant repairs. In addition, it is accelerates rather quickly and is overall an attractive vehicle. With all of these factors combined, the Mazda6 amplifies the value of its relatively low sale price, and is overall a great vehicle to own.
Story
I once made a trip from New York City to Tampa, FL, in the Mazda6. Despite being a long drive, the vehicle made it a much more enjoyable experience.
Pros
The vehicle accelerates quickly and has a high top speed. It is an attractive vehicle with a sunroof and sleek design. Furthermore, the steering is excellent and handles itself well in adverse conditions. The car is also very durable. In driving the car for five years, I have not been required to have any significant repairs made to it that result from long-term wear. The engine and transmission have not any problems whatsoever, which enhances the value of this vehicle.
Cons
Although this is a great car for a reasonable sale price, it does have relatively poor gas mileage. The need to refuel is constant if you must travel for long distances.

I really enjoy driving my Mazda 6. I've had several Mazda's the last several years and they have never given me much trouble as far as repairs and maintenance. I have driven two Mazda 3's through college and my first real job. Overall its a great car. It doesn't have the "oomph" that a lot of other cars have, but it makes up for it with comfort, gas mileage, and reliability. When we had our kids, I had to upgrade from a Mazda 3 to have more room for car seats and strollers etc. I formerly drove a standard and was a little saddened that I could not get a standard Mazda 6. I'm not sure if it was not available in my area, or if they do not offer them anywhere. All in all, its a really great car that i could not be happier with. If it keeps performing like it has so far, I intend ... (more)
Story
We drove to New York City when we first got the car. It is always fun to drive a new car and that gave us both some time behind the wheel. It was also challenging to mix the long highway drive with the intense city driving experience. It was our first time in the "big city" and it felt good. We always take road trip vacations and the more children we have the more likely we will keep this ... (more)
Pros
I really enjoy the gas mileage that I get. On my day-to-day use, I get about upper twenties mpg. On trips to the family's houses out of town, I average in the low thirties. I hear people talk about gas and the bad mileage their trucks and vans get and I'm very pleased we didn't go that route. It is a sensible car in other ways as well. There is plenty of room in the trunk for strollers, golf clubs, etc. When we travel with the kids there is always a need for more space. The front seats are comfortable and nothing feels cramped. I have driven smaller cars in the past and this was a ... (more)
Cons
I feel like it lacks power. There are times I need some "get up and go" and it takes a second or two before I get up to the speed I'm looking for. In a city situation, its difficult to get into traffic and have the attack mentality that you need. There are some minor things like the wipers don't seem to keep up with the rain, but that's not a deal-breaker. I was really bummed that it was not an standard transmission. I feel the control and gas mileage that a standard gives really makes the extra effort worth it. I often find myself spinning or skidding in situations a standard to coul... (more)
